Introduction
  • A diamond chip is different and more valuable from a non-diamond chip.
  • Diamond chips are the lowest cost version for a chip at that level.
  • Example: A level +1 chip will cost at minimum [5] storage. Level +1 chips that have this [5] storage will have a diamond ♦️ icon and are diamond chips. Level +1 chips that are greater than [5] storage such as [6] or [7], will not have a diamond ♦️ icon as they are not the lowest possible storage cost for a chip at that level.

  • Any chip exceeding the maximum useful storage cost as listed for that level cannot be used for fusing into diamond chips in any way and can safely be discarded or sold.
  • When fusing chips level 0, 1, 3, 5, or 7, it is recommended to use the higher storage cost from what is compatible in the chart to avoid wasting the lower cost diamond chips while fusing when possible.
  • When fusing chips level 2, 4, or 6, use only Diamond Chips in order to create a new Diamond Chip.

  • All stackable plug-in chips have hard caps. These caps are equivalent to the bonus you would receive from a plug-in chip that has been upgraded to +8, because of how bonuses are allocated across the levels the most efficient way to get the maximum bonus for the lowest storage cost isn't always through a +8♦ [21] chip.
  • For some chips it is possible to achieve the same maximum bonus as a +8 chip while costing less than [21] storage.

Hijack boost is dropped from small bipads in the city replica where you fight Adam the final time - they respawn infinitely so it's super easy.
Stun, however, is a bit tricky they only drop from certain machines from the factory underground i.e. the religious ones. +1's can only be obtained from a Medium Quadruped that is located in a room full of Small Bipeds and a pile of Android corpses on top of which the Quadruped will stand. While rank 2-4 can be obtained on C/D path from Medium Bipeds that wield two-handed axes. So both are tedious but with patience and a lot of reloads you can get both a diamond 1 and 3.

another farm tip for "shockwave" and "moving speed up":
go to the desert arena.
get on the elevator,
go down and kill the bots standing there.
[they don't even fight back.]
then go up again.
and then repeat the whole thing.

...again and again and again and again...! ^^

That flowchart would've been so helpful back when I was leveling my chips. I was following the tables from the wiki through the whole process and it was hard to keep track of the most efficient path. Great job with this guide!
