Normally that's not an issue, but the game gave me an unavoidable Crimson Curse in the first hallway, on the first turn of combat. With no Blood in the rewards. So if I decided to walk all the way to the boss, my Crusader would either die of the Crimson Curse or go into a Champion level boss fight Wasting. The game decided that I wasn't fighting the boss today.
