Getting the Chef, T-Bone
T-Bone can be captured (read: subdued with a shock grenade) in the Private rank mission, "Under Siege." He will then appear to the right of your pilot at your starting camp area.

Note: You can not make more than 1 (one) meal in the starting camp area. You must enter and leave a mission in order to make another meal. Entering the Hunting Grounds does not count as a mission.

Dish Combinations
Creating dishes is done by talking to T-Bone and selecting 1 or 2 items to combine in order to gain an HP bonus and a chance to gain a special effect for your next mission.

The primary ingredient you choose affects the base HP bonus you will receive as well as the base special effect chance. The special effects you receive are also completely dependant on which primary ingredient you choose.

The secondary ingredient you choose affects the HP bonus and special effect chance. You'll want to use Papaya for a better chance at a special effect, while you would use a Dragon Fruit for more HP. I tend to favor the Papaya.

This is a list of primary ingredients and the possible special effects you can receieve:

More Than Just Meals

In addition to getting access to meals, rescuing T-Bone will also begin a quest line, and first off is to repair the bridge in the hunting grounds. This mission is in the Private bracket and is called "Bridge Failure". Completing Bridge Failure will repair the bridge in the hunting grounds giving you access to the far right side of the area.

Having done that, you now have a mission to rescue the Digger from a mission in the Lieutenant rank called "Resistance Rescue!". After completing this you will yet again unlock another mission and one more after that one is completed, but I won't spoil what each does since it leads to quite a nice easter egg that can give you some nice support and access to an achievement.

They are temporary. Only for the next mission.

Are the HP bonuses permanent or just for the next mission, like the effects?
