Often when you draw an image scaled up or down, you don't want to see it blurred as it's resized - but not always. Here's an explanation of texture filtering in GameMaker, also sometimes known as "texture interpolation!"

This is going to be pretty relevant in next week's shader video, as we'll be using texture filtering to achieve a smoother effect than otherwise could be using blocky pixels.
