Free Unlimited Healing And Invulnerability
By Saint_Miroku
A trick for free and unlimited healing and invulnerability in the chaos rising campaign, other guides alluded to this trick, but none of them spell it out explicitly.

We know our duty and we will do it.

First of all, these are a few prerequisites for this trick to work:

1. You must fight in the name of the emprah! Neither Cyrus' energy Medkits nor Jonah's armor that makes the Rosarius energy based are compatible with a corruption level above five. No heresy allowed (on these squads at least)!

2. The key to this strategy is the last trait from the Force Commander's Willpower tree called "Command Supremacy". This ability reduces the energy costs for all units affected by Battle Cry and all of it's variants (including the corrupt Call for Blood ability, though you realistically won't be able to pair that ability with this trick, see above for details). That may not sound all that great until you realize that the effect stacks with itself and never wears off, meaning that after a few uses all non-channeled abilities on units within Battle Cry's radius (except for the Force Commander himself, his abilities still cost the same amount of energy), will now cost no energy and will only cause a brief cool down. As you can tell, this is quite possible the most overpowered non-corruption trait in all of Dawn of War II.

And if we die this day, we die in glory. We die heroes' deaths...

Cyrus' Free Medkits

Cyrus' Purity trait, "Mend" makes Stimulant Kits cost energy, and as mentioned before, it is affected by the Force Commander's Command Supremacy trait. After Four uses of Battle Cry, Stimulant Kits will no longer cost any energy. Like all Purity Traits, Cyrus will lose this ability with five or more points of Corruption, so make sure to bring him along for that mission to save the scouts.

(The default energy cost of Cyrus' Medkits)

(The cost after one use of Battle Cry)

(The cost after two uses of Battle Cry)

(The cost after three uses of Battle Cry)

(The cost after four or more uses of Battle Cry)
...but we shall not die. No!
Jonah's Free Invulnerability

This next one is based on a semi-rare item drop, so it's not always doable, but Jonah's "Armor of Faith" turns the Rosarius into an energy based ability. After three uses of Battle Cry, Rossarius will cost no energy and will only have a cool down. This armor requires Jonah to have three or fewer points of corruption to equip.

(The Armor of THE EMPRAH Faith)

(Rosarius default energy cost)

(Rosarius after one use of Battle Cry)

(Rosarius after two uses of Battle Cry)

(Rosarius after three or more uses of Battle Cry)

Use demo charges on Cyrus with Jona's invun shield for Primarch cheese.

Poor Thaddeus. The best way he serves the Emperor is by sacrificing himself to Chaos.

you can also have this with avitus in his teminator armour and whirlwind missle rack or tarkus with his grenade toss.

Lastly, just note that while Purity has it's upsides, it's very hard to stay pure on Primarch, since it's really really really really easy to fail the corruption objectives on this difficulty and get corrupted (also the corrupt items and abilities are overpowered because Relic was in league with Chaos), which will probably require the oaths of penance and the redeeming purity seals to maintain purity (those redeeming purity seals come with some pretty nasty debuffs), so just keep that in mind.

Also the second mission against the Eldar is absolutely miserable on Primarch and it causes intense physical pain, so watch out for that.

One important part of any campaign is the traitor, if you go full purity (no corruption on any squads) you have to fight Martellus, and he's the third strongest boss in the game. You can sacrifice a squad leader by giving them at least five points of corruption by not taking them on certain missions (Thaddeus is a pretty good pick since he's relatively easy to fight and he doesn't fit with a lot of strategies). Just keep in mind that if you do the mission to defend Capital Spire, don't do the secondary objective (capturing the shrine and relay) because it will redeem ALL of your squads regardless of whether they're actually deployed or not (making it hard to designate a traitor).

Keep in mind that I'm actually not very good at the game, I've just played it a lot (I actually haven't been able to beat it on Primarch myself). But some good full purity builds are to spec Tarkus, Avitus, and the Force Commander fully into willpower. This will allow Tarkus' Tactical Advance and Avitus' Focus Fire to spread to all the other squads for huge bonuses that get even better with a full Willpower enhanced version of the Force Commander's Battle Cry (Battle Cry will also make the triple energy grenades and Avitus' energy based artillery strikes, both of which are really strong).

Cyrus is a good fourth pick since, as is stated in this guide, healing becomes free. Putting a bunch of points into strength may seem strange, but it gives Cyrus energy based demolitions packs (which is very helpful on this difficulty).
