Harrowed Realm Pre-Alpha

Descrizione
While this may be public, that is only because I desire to receive feedback and what to do going forwards with this map! It is by no means playable, at the moment it is a proof of concept. There are a few locations that are functional, however.

Behold, the test map of test maps. Inspired by the ancient works of art such as Wickerville, Quarter City, Smiley Land, Morray, and most importantly, Zombie World. In fact, this I'd like to think of as an unofficial sequel to that map. Plenty of easter eggs to be found as well, at least, hopefully!

Except it's very unfinished! This is after roughly a year's worth of development, of course, not all the time. Some months here and there where nothing happened, for instance.

Information:
  • Using those fancy-smancy new Devkit features, there are multiple underground holes to enter under the world with, bodies of water all over - including waterfalls and streams.
  • Now, you may be wondering; why the frick is this thing nearly 800 megabytes? Well, my friend, the foliage file is more than 700 megabytes; you see, there are more biomes on this than the default map can truly support without using the devkit - so it panics.
  • For some reason the devkit refuses to bake wheat as a material for the sorta-autumn biome, not sure why. Alongside this, the only trees it populates are in the snowy region. Otherwise all trees and shrubbery you see have been hand-placed.

Locations:
Names are subject to change
  • Celestial City
    • A very large city, there are no zombie spawns, though the southeastern part of the city does have loot, vehicles, and furnishings. Some parkour routes on one of the skyscrapers, I am to have this city be very much based on verticality so there will be multiple ways to get up to the tall spots.
  • St. Lodgemel
    • A winter resort town, very narrow and confined streets and steep drop offs. It is fully lootable and includes zombie spawns.
  • Everest
    • A small, rectangular, generic town with an ice rink and a sewer system. It is also fully functional
  • C. E. Resort
    • A ski resort, only the ski lodge includes item spawns
  • Fort McClean
    • A winter military base stuffed with all sorts of stuff, zombies, items, and vehicles.
  • Iron Peak Lead Mine
    • An incomplete mine in the snow region, its mining operations have flooded the original mining settlement below. A partially flooded mine may be added at some point in the underground sector.
  • Cabin Innawoods
    • Just an old cabin next to a waterfall, nothing to see here. Has item spawns
  • Dia International
    • An incomplete airport
  • Dam
    • A dam barricading water buildup in the mountains, forming a small, rapid stream flowing to the main body below
  • Port Arthur
    • A small port-based township
  • Mount Neigh
    • Don't step in the orange stuff!
  • Nauticeville
    • The second largest city on the map, of which is also incomplete
  • Dodge Junction
    • A wild west-style map, the buildings have no zombie collision so the interiors are framed with palettes. This does a reasonably acceptable job, but zombies can (and will) still get confused
  • Reenacting Field
    • At some point, an historical reenactment was going on here - the absolute best place to find muskets
  • Abandoned Mine
    • Heavily work-in-progress. An old mine from the early 20th century - long since abandoned. Who knows what you'll find down there.
  • Outpost Jubilee
    • A desert military base, there currently aren't any item spawns or zombies to be seen
  • El Suerte
    • A small town in the desert, it's fully completed with item spawns, zombies, and vehicles. There are multiple parkour routes to get to the highest building.
  • Moonburg
    • Another incompleted town in the autumn biome
  • Alongside many other places - planned and not!

This map makes use of custom notes, let me know if you can see them! Also let me know what you would like to see, I may take it into consideration.

I did have intentions of doing an insane-sized map, but that would probably just destroy everybody's computer at once
