Finding the secret island

I don't think there is anyone who doesn't already know that, but anyway...
Don't use the simple launcher, otherwise the achivements won't work!

Select "Play new game -- fixed world" when starting a new game:

You will have to go up one or two levels to get the "inner tube" present which looks like this:

Now just drop down to the first level and use the inner tube present

simply go to the bottom left of the map where you will find an island (no it's not it yet):

now just drop down through the hole in the middle, which has space as background instead of water:

and you're there, the achivement should register:

put cursor over black bar to see the screenshot of the "secret island"

after you're done collecting stuff, just drop off in to space and you will reappear on the highest level you have reached so far
