So I rescue this random Escaped Slave from the Fog Men cannibals. I literally followed the screams through the blinding fog. They had already chewed one of his legs off. Out of pity, I carry him back to town where he asks me "Now what?" Out of more pity, I refuse to abandon him and invite him to join my party. Town only sells fancy, absurdly expensive legs, more $ than I have. Carry him across the accursed wasteland to another town where I buy a junky peg leg from nasty bug men who live in huts made of their own dung. Decide to rename him since he can walk and fight now, can't just leave him as "Escaped Slave". Rename him, "Leg'day".
