Half Fix for the Memory Leak (without removing all cutscenes)
By Yeti
None of the information online really helps with the memory leak except adding -nomoviestartup which removes all the cutscenes in the game. From what I can tell the real problem with the memory leak is the loading screen "cutscenes".

So for this fix all you have to do is navigate to
BorderlandsGOTYEnhanced\WillowGame\Movies
and delete (or move) all the ones that say "loading".

This is only for the main game, if you want to remove them from dlcs, youll have to go to each movies folder in each dlc located in
BorderlandsGOTYEnhanced\WillowGame\DLC\Shared
and delete each loading movie from there as well.

This will make it so you have cutscenes still, but all the loading screens will be black. A pretty good compromise I think.

That doesnt work for me. When I delete all the "loading" files in that exact directory nothing happens. I still have normal loading screens and the memory leak problem.

adding -nomoviestartup which removes all the cutscenes in the game.
dont recomend to do this, after this the game will crash when Angel guardian talks to you(you will not able to see her) in the up corner of the screen. i have reproduced this crash many times

-nomoviestartup is in Launch Options field in Properties, which you find by RMBing the game in your library

I'm kind of surprised this isn't rated higher. My frame rate was dropping, inputs getting super laggy if I transitioned between more than a couple areas. Followed this guide and haven't had any of those issues since.
