Tools
-UT Cache Cleaner - http://toxiccode.com/ut/files.html

A bit of notice here: I generally do not transport .u files from my cache folder. This can lead to version missmatches. Should allow you to play maps that you downloaded from servers.

-Umod registry fix
I personally do not like the extractor solution. Here you go: Its very simple to use.

http://unrealtournament.99.free.fr/utfiles/index.php?dir=Utilities/&file=UT99RegFix.rar

How to use

Install it. It does not have to be installed to the UT99 Folder. Open it - Set steam path to UT99, And click save. Now you should be able to install umod files.

I just tested this myself installing a skin umod.

-OpenGL Driver

Rigtht here, just place in your UT/System folder, then go to option, change video device, show all, and click the new one.

If the above opengl driver does not work, You can probally install 469d from https://github.com/OldUnreal/UnrealTournamentPatches/releases Althou I generally dont update whats not broke this might help you.

Jailbreak http://jailbreak.beyondunreal.com/download/mod/

Tactical Ops http://www.moddb.com/mods/tacticalops-assault-on-terror/downloads Get 3.1.5 full first - Then 3.32. I am unsure if 3.1.5/3.32 is still played. You cannot update to 3.4.0 as that was a retail patch only.

Unreal4Evah http://www.moddb.com/mods/unreal4ever

Monster Hunt A must tbh. Very fun COOP. https://www.moddb.com/mods/monster-hunt/downloads/monster-hunt-v613 Usually combined with weapon mod packs such as Sin.

Operation Na Pali (Singleplayer mod): https://unrealarchives.com/operation-na-pali/

@GamingWithSilvertail Hey, thanks for your work and support on this game. I haven't played it for years but it's interesting to read that people still are. I'm a total noob when it comes to mods; I've downloaded utbonuspack4 but don't know how to extract it and can't see an obvious answer above or in the comments.
Also, is there any point installing v469d if I'm just playing single player atm...?
Thanks in advance :)

@gamerz31w: You seem to be kinda fascinated with Jazz Jackrabbit - I see several comments by you on such Epic Games related gaming forums, trying to rekindle discussion on it.

But if I could give a friendly suggestion - please do not pester modders or info-guide authors about Jack Jackrabbit, especially when you realize they have no interest in the game.

This guide by GamingWithSilvertail is for UT99 only, so please restrict your conversation here to that game, with respect to this guide, so newcomers here can feel welcome and involved if they ask queries about the UT99 game in the ambit of this guide.

I did update MH link cause the other link from gamefront seem to have broken.

No worries.

3.4 and 3.5 are bassically for the paid version of tactical ops. That's why it says retail only.

The last official mod version to TO is 3.3.2 if I recall correctly.

As far as operation na pali I have no idea. I did not play that modm but it's on https://ut-files.com/index.php?dir=GameTypes/ONP/

@GamingWithSilverTail: Would "Operation: Na Pali" be a worthwhile mod to try? A forum post indicated "it is a single-player only UT mod, a similar experience to Unreal but with UT weapons."

If so, please include it and any other recent mods you recommend.
Your guide seems be #1 guide when I search the Guides section for mods, so congrats on that!

@GamingWithSilvertail: (I've deleted my comment as I agree with your stance.)

I was merely trying out the mods mentioned in your guide, and noticed that ModDb (as per your link for TO mod) lists the 3.4 and 3.5 updates to TO:AoT, which are for Retail (though it's my bad : I didn't realise that Retail meant Retail version of the game, not the digital Steam/Epic/GoG versions).
GamingWithSilvertail  [skapare] 6 apr @ 8:24
@Vee Kay the reason I dont list TO AOT 3.5 is because it's only a retail update. It was not made for the mod version.

It's it seperate game.

I do not support piracy. I dont know if that link is allowed per atari (publishers of retail AOT).

I checked on virustotal and seems this only had 1 detection out of 90+

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/328226af10224f7c0f67cb2cecc1806a846377773e85e6bfc807a833907b1b91/detection

So prolly false positive.

@vee-kay What is the reason for MBAM flagging it? That website should be clean. Its probally a false positive.
