How to Bolt Rifles Much Faster (OUTDATED)
By Beggar Soldier
You know, since the new animation overhaul came to HLL with Update 7, bolting rifles like the Kar98K for example has a little delay, but while I was playing HLL, I found a great and simple solution for this issue.

Sorry for the low quality gifs but 2MB is the limit.

Unfortunately, after Patch 16, This method does not work anymore, but it was really great seeing my guide on the top in the HLL Community, so I thank you all for all the ratings and awards.

I won't delete the guide, because why would I? It's like a relic now from the past.

Without this solution
If you shoot your Kar98K or any other Bolt Action Rifle while aiming or from hip, you'll notice that there is a delay before your soldier bolts the rifle.

Notice the delay after shooting

Also, manual bolting makes it even slower
With this solution
Okay so, all you need had to do is was
  1. Aim with a Bolt Action Rifle
  2. Shoot
  3. Come out of ADS
  4. Go back into ADS very fast (Right Mouse Button x2)

If you do did it right, you can could skip the bolting delay between each shot.

That's it
If this guide was helpful, leave a like, an award and favorite it!

This may be fixed by the developers, but until then, this is a great solution for that bolting delay problem. It was fixed by the developers as of Patch 16.

Take Care!

You don't seem to understand the point. You said 'its just a video game'- that's not the mantra of a military sim, it should be realistic, where you can use skill to reload faster than a newb, which is how it works in the real world. you don't get an extra second, it's more like 0.1 seconds which is almost negligable when you're going up a 8 shot semi auto garand firing all its shots before you get your second round off lol- how could you cry about that? And stop trying to strawman my argument to make it look like i'm belittleing you for wanting it to be fair- it is fair when experts gain small edges for things that take skill to do, to press 2 buttons at the right time after reloading each shot takes effort.

The guy who wrote a long reply to me is now trying to make a joke about me writing a long reply. I see you lack self awareness. You also lack the ability to understand what I was saying and totally missed the point. The point is that its not an exploit if its something you figure out along the way. Most games have tricks that experts learn over time, that are integral to the game and make a game even more enjoyable when you think there's nothing else to learn or do. Also, this is a military simulator, that's its category, this is not COD or Battlefield. You obviously have on idea, and therefore I am wasting my time on you as you say- but I tried at least.

They should make it a feature since its already there. Lots of games were made famous by the fact there was an expert ceiling cap by knowing the game in and out, and the speed difference here is very minimal, you're saving maybe 15-20% of the reload time. Obviously I have no ability to make it a feature, i'm not the developer, your demands are silly. You're characterization of this feature is very amateurish and shows a lack of foresight and historical knowledge of what made games great.

Being able to reload faster by using expert timing and dexterity is realism. In the real world people aren't reloading all at the exact same speed. Only a retard would think that was realistic.

I just tested this with the newest patch and I confirm that yes.... this method does not work anymore. Time to get used to the delay again it seems
