So true! I tried to farm for it last weekend for about an hour.. did not get it! So as you said, I'l stick with my Reinforced Club and the Giant Hammer (thx again for the tip ;) ) and of course my trusty Combustions!

Yeah, the Pickaxe is fun to use and actually useful in PvP as well, but the farming is sort of annoying for it. And it doesn't beat the Reinforced Club/Giant Hammer imo as the go to for SL1 chars.

Maybe I should go for that a well next time, sl 1, no healing.. and maybe noshield at all ;)
But tbh I still did not get the Giants Hammer, I kinda like the fella! Maybe Im goin to farm for the pickaxe next instead! Any thoughts on that weapon?

And again, will be upping this fight of my SL1 No Upgrades No Healing run as well. :)

My only recommendation is, go totally two-handed and go for R2/RT's when possible, especially with Red Tearstone active. Any lightning weapon will eat through him like butter.
