Hey everyone. Today i'm going to try to tell you everything about the Portal 2 mechanics and items. I mean, cubes, buttons and all items that can be found. Sorry for my bad grammar. My English is not that good, but i will learn more more and more :)

Aperture Science Weighted Storage Cube

This is just a normal cube, that you can pick up and take it. You can also place it on buttons, if that happens, a door might open, or a gel pipe starts, or starts a fizzle etc. That's actually the most normalest cube in the game. It's built specifically for testing.

Companion Cube

Does the same with the Weighted Storage Cube. There's just a pink heart in it <3. it's so cute. At the first portal series you incinerate it, but in Portal 2's ending, you've got it back, its completely burned.

Disc (Garbage)

This is just a Garbage that appears in the game. We don't have to test with it as GLaDOS says. The reason why is the disc appeared is that when GLaDOS said that we are navigating the tests faster than she can build them, she were still working on the tests and she found a little trash (garbage) in the cube inventories.

Turret

We all love turrets! But these little evil machines are deadly! They have a red beam, and when you go in them the Turret's gun is set to the bullseye (The Player). And then it starts shoot at you. Atleast you can pick them up and throw them, it's really fun :)

Defective Turret

The Defective Turret is...a defective turret. That means that this turret can't shoot, but it can picked up too and be taken. There's nothing special about them, and there's no spawncodes for it.

Bean(s)

It's just a simple food that ratman eats most time, you can find it in many many places.

Antique Cube

This is a simple cube, no special things about it, it just an old cube from Aperture Science Innovators (1920-1977). It appears in Chapter 6, 7 and 8.

Turret No. mark 42 (Garbage)

This is a simple turret too, it looks like the normal turret, but a bit darker, and grey. And some yellow and black stripes. But its also like the Defective Turret, because it cant just shoot too.

Discouragement Redirection Cube

Now that's finally a special cube. You can "deflect" lasers from spots, and through portals. It's a very important item, because if you've got stucked in a laser test level, then it helps you a lot.

The Radio

DAN DAN DAN DAN! It's the radio! You can hear 3 songs from the Radio : want you gone, still alive and exile vilify (its actually an easter egg) They're awesome songs!

Wheatley

Wheatley can be picked up as well as we know. Special thing about him is that he has animation, i mean the glowing blue eyes etc.

Space Core

SPAAAAACE! This is my 2nd favourite core in the game, we all know that he always wants to go to SPACE!, and at the end he do reaches it. Anyway, it can be picked up, but it's not droppable.

The Adventure Core

This little green eye coloured Adventure Core is always ready for a real expedition, travel or a new upcoming adventure! Same as the other cores, can be picked up, but this one is throwable.

The Fact Core

This core is always talking about facts and William Shakespeare. No reason why he likes it but it can be picked up too, cmon JUST THE SAME AS THE OTHER CORES.

Water Bottle

It's actually a water bottle that Ratman drinks if he's out of beans :D

Coffee Mug

This is just a Coffee Mug, It has got a special thing, it's breakable, and the pieces can be picked up just as the whole Coffee Mug.

Edgeless Safety Cube

It's actually a "BallCube". You cannot place it on heavy buttons, you can place it on a special plate, can be picked up.

Test Chamber Cam

It is a Test Chamber Cam, which keeps an eye on you what are you doing on the test :D
To pick up this item, first you must shoot a portal behind it, and shoot the other portal to any spot, and then it falls on floor. If you got this you can have fun with it :D

The "Turret No. mark 42 (Garbage)" I found in a page that is called DAMAGED TURRET maybe that is the original name of this turret

@davidmac20 As far as I know you can't, not sure though. I saw you asking this on another thread, I would ask the guys there, they know more about console commands. I made this long ago just for fun, my knowledge of the game was very limited. Now... well now I mostly just forgot everything source-game related :D
