How to change your CS:GO background

With the new CS:GO update on 27/5/2020 they added panoramic backgrounds
of in-game maps that you can choose and set as you in-game background.
In this guide i will show you how you can customize and have your own panoramic background.

Getting to the directory

open your Counter Strike: Global Offensive game directory. open your own Steam games directory and navigate to:

\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\panorama\videos

In this folder there are the assets used in the main menu of the panorama U.I. Notice the file names and the several versions of each file.

Converting your video to WebM file

if you're using a YouTube video navigate to this website here[www.clipconverter.cc]
and then paste in your YouTube video link and download .mp4 file.

then with you .mp4 file go to this site[video.online-convert.com]
and get your .webm file.

Note: you can use any conversion site that has Webm VP8 convert option.

Adding and applying your video

Delete the map file that you want to change to your custom background (Make sure to delete the file that has no resulution near its name and not the xxxx540.webm or xxxxx720.webm).
then place your WebM file inside the game directory.

Note: If you're using 720p or 540p resolutions, you need to change the respective file as well.

Rename the newly downloaded WebM as the file that you just deleted.

Go to the settings page and change the "Main Menu background scenery" to the map you changed

You're done!

VP8 doesn't work for me so anyone with issues try VP9
