Using the steam client navigate into "Help" and head onto "Steam Support".

Despite this option saying "permanent", this change is reversible. We have to remove the game/dlc to avail of Influent's free promotion.

Here on steam support we navigate onto our issue. To help find it easier, try launching the game first and then closing it before heading onto steam support.

Proceed onto removing the game from your account.

Now we are done with removing the game from our account. If you have more DLCs that you have to remove, you will have to repeat the process until you own none of them; do not worry as you'll be able to restore them back, you can check the last part of this guide. Now we try waiting around five minutes for steam store to refresh the status of our ownership.

Now we can proceed onto availing the free promotion like others do because we no longer have the game in our library.

Now that we have availed of the free promotion, it is time to restore the DLC(s) that we have previously removed. We head on back to steam support for this process.



Now we are done, we have availed of the free promotion and restored the DLC we have deleted.
If you had more DLC(s) you'll just have to repeat the process to restore all of them back.
