Ladies and Gentleman,

the Horseshoe shaped Legend is back, this time for Squad!
We Updated it to Amphibious Gameplay

Updated for Squad V3 (yes Boats)

Ladies and Gentleman,

after a lot of testing we finally release Wake Island Map for Squad.
The Horseshoe shaped Legend is back, this time for Squad!
Talk to your local Server Hoster to get this Map in rotation on your favorite Server.

Info about the Map:

This is Wake Island, this is not Battlefield! We aimed to make a replica of Wake Island as it is used by the US Armed Forces today! Wake Island Serves as an Airfield in the Middle of the Pacific Ocean and as one of several THAAD Sites to Protect the United States against Ballistic Missiles.

The Map is 4x4km but features a lot of Water and Carrier Spawns for Helicopters and now Boats.

Gameplay Wise this map is kind of a Meatgrinder with options. If you just use Ground Forces it will come to Meatgrind Points, if you use your 3 Helicopters and Amphibious strategically you can avoid that.

And yes, there is a Transport on both Carriers and no you cant use it to ride into Battle, its there because Pilots tend to make thier Helos smootch each other and then they cant get them free anymore :-D

Troubleshooting

- If youre stuck with a "running man" after loading you need to restart squad thats a general squad modding issue.
- if you get a file mismatch error, unsub the mod here and resub it, it will redownload and youre good to go
- yes we know this is not amazing but it out of our hand please be angry at OWI.

Realease notice 19th July 2022:

- Upgraded Wake Island to 3.1
- Added Boat Spawns
- Switched US Army for USMC
- Replaced over 60 Assets to make the map look better and more Professional

Squad desperately need Pacific-island map. You could use in-game assets to reduce the size of the mod. Please bring this back I beg you

Hey mate, problem is server just dont want to run large mods like this one so unless the squad community changes and accepts a few GB download it makes no sense to release large mods at all.

Plz help!!! I can't find a server on wake island, is this still supported in 2023? Is it for NA servers?
I really want to play if anyone has answers please let me know........
