this is a simple guide.i take no credit for.other than making it. saw it elsewhere and tried it
it works very well.since no one has posted one. heres the
settings.wish i could find original post to give him props.i could not find again

at the very least its a great place to start and bump it up from here
as i did.

im running on a i7 6700k @4.8GHZ gtx1080ti black s.c @2560x1440
for lesser cards turn ultra settings to high or med as needed.good luck

I have an i7 8th Gen CPU and a 1060 6GB. I am still struggling to stay in the 30+ fps range after the snow thaws. I tweaked my settings very similar to yours, except a step lower on most and I left tree tessellation on. I am playing on Vulkan. The option to change my resolution is greyed out at my native 1920x1080, or I would try lowering it too 1600x900 to get AT LEAST 10 more fps. Any tips are welcome. My Asus ROG runs Witcher 3 on Ultra at constant 70+ fps...Enjoy this unoptimized masterpiece!

If anybody here has crashes during playing (with error report) - change to DirectX 12.

You have set your Graphics API to Vulcan (default) but directx 12 seems to deliver better performance some users. Might be worth a try
