@seansniper27 go to User\AppData\Roaming\SurviveTheNightsServer\Config and look for ServerUser.txt. file. This should have everyone that's been on your game including you. Each individual is listed like "7656119813793****,2,false,false,Username"
Make sure there is a "2" before the "false,false" and not a "3" and this will give you the admin rights to have way more commands.

it doesn't tell you how to change permissions it just gives examples iv done everything and no luck

If you are hosting your own server or playing solo you need to change the permissions in the server's json files. you should open them with a word document or equivalent and read the README files for further information on how to change specific permissions. Feel free to message me for more info as I have done this for my own server

You can rent a server from ALLGamer.net . As for these codes, if the server allows it you can type /give and then the item number to spawn in items.
