I'm getting the same error.

Looks like the latest update has broken the way to include TTT weapon spawns.
I'll see if there's a fix.

the addon isnt even downloading correctly anymore. In the addons tab of gmod, the addon has a red border with the error-message "failed to parse addon file"

The map isn't loading anymore.
Maybe because of the latest gmod update.
I get an error in the console:
Not loading addon 'TTT Simple - ttt_simple_otat1' - File not on whitelist: gamemodes/terrortown/content/maps/ttt_simple_otat1_ttt.txt
Couldn't mount addon file 'addons/ttt_simple_-_ttt_simple_otat1_1812199726.gma' from 'TTT Simple - ttt_simple_otat1' (1812199726)

I don't know if the author has plans to make a dark mode version.
It might help to enable "Night light" or install flux on your computer, to dim your screen and make it easier on your eyes in low light settings
