The Strongest Sojourner

To do more than 9,999 damage, you need the Warrior Skill ‘Surpassing Power’ . This skill is the fourth passive skill unlocked by the Warrior Job. Once equipped, the character will be able to do a maximum of 99,999 damage in a single hit.

Once a Passive Skill is unlocked, you can use it / equip it forever. If you switch sub-jobs, you can still use and access any passive skills you’ve already unlocked. Any character can unlock and equip ‘Surpassing Power’ — even if they aren’t a Warrior.

To actually start dishing out insane damage, of the +9,999 variety, you’ll need to keep a few things in mind. Leveling up is a good start — you can increase Phys. Atk and Elem. Atk to the max, or you can use buffs.

There are multiple powerful support characters — the Merchant Class and Dancer Class are important. Make sure to include these as main / sub-jobs in your party.

To unlock the special secret ending, you’ll need to complete certain tasks and dungeons. Here’s what you’ll need to do, in order from beginning to end.

A short list of how to do it:

1. First you need to complete all 8 story from your main characters.
   
2. Complete the Ruins of Hornburg optional dungeon to unlock the path to the secret ending.
   
3. To unlock this dungeon, you’ll need to complete two side-quests: “Daughter of the Dark God”
   and “In Search of the Father“.
   
4. Start “Daughter of the Dark God” by travelling to Ravus Manos in the Clifflands and
   challenging a guard to a duel. The guard named Alphas has his eyes on a mysterious woman
   nearby named Lyblac, and is looking for a way to get her attention.
   
   You'll need to challenge or provoke Alphas is vulnerable to Dagger, Axe, Staff, Fire, and Shadow.
   He has the ability to cause Blindness.
   
5. Start “In Search of the Father (I)” by talking to Kit — they’ll appear outside the first
   city you select at the start of your game. Then you find him in Noblecourt, Allure/Guide Aspiring
   Actor from Noblecourt (A staircase down at a bridge).
   In Search of Father (II) Steal/Purchase Lapis Lazuli from Traveling Merchant in Grandport,
   Location is the Moonstruck Coast.
   
   
6. After completing these two quest, travel to the West S’wark’ii Trail and talk to the Impresario to
   unlock the Ruins of Hornburg dungeon.

Complete the high-level dungeon and defeat the boss at the end to unlock a very special, secret ending. It’s worth it if you’re looking for one last task to take on after finishing all eight stories.
