7.22c (Offlane) Spark's Axe [Offlane Pos 3]
By sparkelyfox
If you're interested in learning Axe guided by a very experienced axe player with a 67%~ winrate then this is the guide for you. This guide will be kept updated throughout the patches.

Some important things to consider with Axe:
Which heroes should Alchemist play with?
Axe can play with most lineups but is particularly good when a tank is needed and has a ranged pos 4 laning support with a stun on lane. Despite what you might think, he's not a very good solo laner. He can if needed but then can't be very aggressive which efeats the point of axe.
Which heroes shouldn't Axe play with?
Axe is not a support, he can be if absolutely needed but never plan for it. Axe needs his farm in lane, anyone who will take his farm in lane is no good.
When should you pick axe?
Axe should be picked as 2nd or 3rd pick (even fourth pick if your team will allow it) but ideally 3rd pick. Axe should be picked against right click heavy lineups and his counters which are noted below.
Heroes Axe counters:
Nature's Prophet, Phantom Lancer, Broodmother, Terrorblade, Naga Siren, Anti-mage, Dazzle, Phantom Assassin, Troll warlord, Weaver.
Heroes that counter Axe:
Necrophos, Doom, Enigma, Viper, Outworld Devourer, Phoenix, Pugna, Ursa, Lifestealer, Venomancer.

With this knowledge go fourth, counter the metacancer and prove that despite Axe's overall winrates Axe is indeed, a pig.
Also, What happened? AXE HAPPENED!
