Dead rising 2 was a large game on its own. Now its even bigger in DR2: Off the Record. For example Off the record added the new Uranus zone section of Fortune city, which added some extra traversal issues to players as it added more ground to cover when escorting survivors or reaching cases. This section will help new players who are struggling to get around the map and make time on cases.

Firstly, to increase your movement speed you can equip a set outfit called "The Sports fan Kit". This outfit set increases your movement speed by 20% and has a few additional bonuses which include: Being able to drink without getting sick, increased damage from "sports" related weapons and 30% increase in earnings from gambling.

Secondly, using vehicles found around Fortune City is a must at certain points in the game. 4x4 Carts are your most common vehicle and do move faster than Frank on foot in the early game. Late game however, you may consider switching to the clown car or the dirt-bike for enhanced survivor escorting abilities or for maximum travel speed respectively.
As an additional note: Pushable vehicles, such as the utility cart, make Frank move faster than usual so using them in a pinch is a valid strategy. Also, crashing the utility cart into a wall then riding a skateboard causes a glitch where you can phase through zombies.

Finally, if you really want to go fast on foot, invest in the mixed drink 'Quickstep'. This drink will heal you to full health and will increase you movement speed by a x3 multiplier. Pair this with the sports fan outfit at level fifty and you will move at base max movement speed + 20% multiplied by 3 (Base + 20% x 3).
Some easy recipes to make this are:
1. Coffee Creamer + Coffee Creamer
2. Wine + Wine
3. Milk + Milk
4. Beer + Wine
5. Mayonnaise + Milk
6. Mayonnaise + Wine
Avoiding Zombies
Zombies are the main crux of Dead Rising. The shambling corpses of the formerly living are right around every corner in Fortune city! This may be a problem for new players as the zombies get in the way of everything and generally make escorting survivors a hassle. However, if you've played enough of this game on all platforms, like I have, you learn a few things that make zombies go from a massive threat to a minor inconvenience. This section will show you how to avoid zombies (Most of the time) and walk through them without getting killed.

Firstly, basic movement needs to be addressed. To avoid a large group of zombies do not jump through them. Zombies can strike you in mid air and cause damage, which is what we want to avoid. So instead of jumping through, dodge roll. The roll is available to you from the start and unlike the jump, zombies cannot attack you mid action. Dodge rolling also stuns zombies which is a nice added bonus. However, at the end of the roll Frank will pause to gain his composure, this gap allows for zombies to attack so use this with caution.

Secondly, utilise the mixed drink 'Untouchable'. This drink allows you to not be grabbed by zombies. This can be good as it allows the player to run without fear of being stopped by a zombie. Once again though, the downside is that zombies can still hit you which is a bit of a drag. "Energizer" also has a similar effect, where instead of not being grabbed you just take no damage at all, but It lasts far less than untouchable.

Thirdly, unlock the ninja outfit. This outfit for Frank makes zombies ignore you within a long to medium range. This can be fun to use with quickstep and untouchable as these drinks combined with the outfit can make you cover ground in minutes while also getting little to no interference from zombies. When using this outfit though, give zombies enough space as if you get close to them they will bite.

Finally, do not run head on into zombies. This is the simplest rule I can give but it gets you out of reach of zombies.

This is a lot to cover in one segment so if you want move info on zombies go to the Dead Rising wiki. Now read everything else and you should be golden.
Defeating Psychopaths
Bosses in DR come in the form of psychopaths. These bosses each have their own backstory and reasons for becoming as deranged as they are. These bosses are also very hard to beat, with each requiring a different way to beat them. So, with that in mind, i'm going to give some general information on fighting bosses.

Firstly, when setting up for the fight you will need to grab two items. You will need a mixed drink called 'Painkiller' and a high DPS weapon, Usually a firearm or a combo weapon.

Painkiller restores health completely and reduces damage from incoming attacks by half, which is very useful as most psychos can take large amounts of your HP with single strong attacks or grabs. Timing your painkiller heals so that you can extend the effect after you are completely out or near out is essential during some high intensity and ranged fights like Chuck, The Hunters and Seymour.

Firearms are very useful in psychopath fights due to the sheer sustained and burst DPS output of certain guns e.g. The assault rife and the LMG. However, be sure to burst fire these guns as psychopaths enter a super armour state after they are hit with an attack which makes then unable to be flinched and briefly reduces the damage taken from attacks whilst in this state.

Certain combo weapons are also very proficient in psychopath encounters due to their high single attack DPS. Much like with firearms however, after landing an attack be sure to back away and wait a few seconds for the psycho to cancel out of their super armour state. Some suggested combo weapons to use are: The laser sword, Knife gloves, (In a pinch) The defiler, The rocket launcher (Similar rules to firearms, Rodger has a special interaction with this weapon where he will be briefly blinded by the fireworks) and the spear drill.

Secondly, when fighting a psycho watch out for their unique attacks. Unique attacks deal a huge amount of damage and can range from simple heavy swings, repeated gun shots, unbreakable grabs and breakable grabs. Luckily most of these attacks will leave the target open to retaliation if they miss and even if they manage to hit you they will often taunt, giving you both a photo op and a chance to trade damage.

Lastly, be on the lookout for special interactions with psychos that will give you an advantage. Some examples include: Slappy being stunned if you spray him with the water gun, Being able to take out the Hunters without going on the roof, Rodger being blinded by the rocket launcher etc.

Special section for "Bibi Love":
Bibi Love is a special psychopath who you "fight" in the mission "One-Hit Wonder". Her "Fight" requires you to fulfil her demands otherwise she blows up the stage she is on in the slot ranch casino, killing herself and three other survivors. There are three main ways to fail this encounter: 1. You attack Bibi on stage, 2. You fail the rhythm minigame at the end, or 3. you for whatever reason kill one of the other survivors.
Fulfilling her demands is easy, she needs you to wear a tuxedo, get her a drink (Get her an energizer as this will make her permanently invincible) and grab some "audience members" for her show. Lastly she will ask you to do the pyro effects for her show, in which you compete in a rhythm game to win. After this she will fall into a crowd of her "Adoring fans" in which then you will have to either save her or let her die. If you save her, she becomes a survivor and releases everyone. If she dies, you can still untie everyone save them.

That's all the general advice I can give. If you want a comprehensive guide on each individual psycho, visit the Dead Rising wiki.
