Introduction
Before playing “Dishonored: Death of the Outsider,” I wanted to check the Achievements to make sure I didn’t end up having to replay the whole game just to get Achievements I’d leisurely blown right past. In other words, I needed a chronological list of Achievements, not an alphabetical one. I didn’t really need details of HOW to get the Achievements. I only needed knowledge of their existence and a rough explanation of them. I couldn’t find such a Guide. So, I’m publishing my work so others can benefit from it if they’d like to do something similar. Again, my purpose is merely to make sure I didn’t miss an Achievement and not to show how to get an Achievement. However, in case people want more information, I’ve included links to PowerPyx’s Achievement videos where they exist. I highly recommend those. Again, none of the videos I'm linking to in this guide are mine. Except for one from Bjurnie, they're all PowerPyx's. I'm assuming any views will be registered to the appropriate YouTube channel. If I'm wrong about this, let me know and I'll pull the links.

Game-Spanning Achievements
There are no Achievements for high- or low-chaos runs. The closest would be the “Final Release” and “Deicide” Achievements in Mission 5 for how you take care of the Outsider, and the “Agent of Mercy Achievement” for completing just one mission without killing anyone.

Shadow: Finished the game without being detected
This Achievement simply requires you to play the entire game without being seen by enemies. Make sure you check the Stats option in the main menu periodically (Stats > Current Mission > Stealth > Spotted by Enemies) to ensure you haven’t blown it. Apparently, this Achievement can also be done in Original Game+ mode.

Good Old Times: Finished the Original Game+
According to:

https://dishonored.fandom.com/wiki/New_Game_%2B

“Original Game + (or Original Game Plus), is a game mode for Dishonored: Death of the Outsider similar to New Game +. It is unlocked after finishing one playthrough of Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. In this game mode, Billie Lurk will have three of her powers (Displace, Foresight, and Semblance) replaced by fully upgraded Blink and Domino, and a modified Dark Vision (which is fully upgraded as well, but now drains mana continuously while activated, and also reveals bone charms).”

So, to get this Achievement, you have to finish the game twice. Once in regular mode and then once in Original Game+ mode. Just for giggles, I'll throw in a link to Bjurnie's video of a 9 minute and 15 second speedrun of the game:

https://youtu.be/gCQmAd6AZsY

That uses some kind jumping glitch (which I don't seem to have the talent for). But, I used it as a basis for my legitimate OG+ run (which took me about 1.4 hours).
Multi-Mission-Spanning Achievements
Mercenary Work: Completed all contracts
This Achievement spans Missions 1-4 and requires you to complete 13 optional Contracts in a single playthrough. Two of the Contracts are given in the first mission on the Dreadful Wale. The remaining 11 Contracts are given in the various Black Markets. I’ve included a mission-specific entry under each of those missions.

Art Aficionado: Collected all Eleuterio Cienfuegos paintings
This Achievement spans Missions 1-3 and requires you to collect eight collectible paintings in a single playthrough. See the following video for the whole thing:

https://youtu.be/Yv8POpwSRDA

I’ve included a mission-specific entry under each of those missions.
Mission 1 – One Last Fight
Rat Whisperer: Listened to what swarms of rats have to say 5 times
As you leave the Dreadful Wale for the first time, you’ll come across a group of rats and get a tutorial on listening to them. Just listen five times and the Achievement will pop. You can listen to this one group five times to get this out of the way.

Side Effects: Made 3 people vomit using a single bottle of Plagued Spirit
Behind the boxing ring there will be a bar. Pick up a bottle of Plagued Spirit from there, walk into the ring and wait for at least three people to start attacking you. Throw the bottle at them.

https://youtu.be/S1TjqcBenOQ

Art Aficionado: Collected all Eleuterio Cienfuegos paintings
For this achievement collect all eight collectible paintings in a single playthrough. There’s only one painting in this mission:

- “The Outsider in Conditional Dreams.” Above the boxing ring.

https://youtu.be/Yv8POpwSRDA?t=5

Mercenary Work: Completed all contracts
For this Achievement, complete all 13 Contracts in a single playthrough. The two Mission 1 Contracts are:

- Burn the White Hound: "An Eyeless hag stole my poor Milky. He's white as whalebone but riddled with disease. It breaks my old heart to ask this of you, but if you find my Milky, please put him out of his misery and burn his remains. Save him from those cursed Eyeless, and save Karnaca from another plague!"
- Industrial Espionage: "Those thugs at the Albarca make potions and bonecharms upstairs. Their liquor is vile, but it sells for good coin and we're losing punters to them by the day. Bring us the rat liquor recipe before our brewery goes out of business, and make sure to destroy their stock while you're at it!"

These first two Contracts can be found on Billie's desk aboard the Dreadful Wale right at the start.

Uncaged: Freed the assassin Daud
Free Daud in the first mission. Story mission. Can’t miss.

Agent of Mercy: Finished a mission without killing anyone
Finish any mission in the game without killing anyone.
Mission 2 – Follow the Ink
Clever Planning: Used Displace on a marker placed with Foresight and eliminated a target
Do this along with “Occupational Hazard,” below.

Occupational Hazard: Made an enemy explode into pieces using Displace
Use Foresight to place a marker on someone. Then use Displace to that location (thus exploding them) and the Achievement will pop.

https://youtu.be/0Yip0T7_MxU

Hooked: Sent someone flying 40 meters using Hook Mines
It might be possible to do this in Mission 1 since you can find Hook Mines there. But, you need someplace to put the mine where the body can be thrown long distances. The places normally shown are in Mission 2 on walls overlooking large drops. Specifically, there’s a guy fishing near the Black Market (where you can buy the mines if you need to). Toggle the mine to Lethal mode and stick it to a wall overlooking that drop. Choke out the fisherman, carry him near the mine, and toss his body towards it. The mine should grab the body and slingshot (at least part of) it away. If so, the Achievement will pop.

https://youtu.be/X5M5omUus2c

Mightier than the Sword: Shot a guard in the head with a fountain pen
You’ll need to buy the Makeshift Bolt upgrade (500 coins) from the Black Market, then find a pen to shoot a guard in the head. The hardest part of the Achievement is finding a pen. Also, note that pens will be labeled as Voltaic Bolts as you hover over them. So, you’ll have to pay attention to what you’re looking at. The easiest way to do this is buy the upgrade and go straight up inside the next-door building to the apartment facing the street near the top. There’s a pen on the shelves above the bed, there. Empty your inventory (i.e., shoot) of all normal Voltaic Bolts, pick up the pen, go down to the street, and shoot. The Achievement will immediately pop.

https://youtu.be/YDa3WvgSvQ4

Public Shaming: Dropped Ivan Jacobi through the trapdoor
As part of the main story, you’ll need to get a key from Ivan Jacobi. For this Achievement, find him practicing a speech in a courtyard near the back of the whole map. Go down some stairs on the left side of the courtyard. There will be a trapdoor switch down there. When Jacobi stands on the trapdoor, pull the switch.

https://youtu.be/S2-lDFDKEYw

Salute!: Had a guard salute you
Use Semblance on a red-coated guard. Then find a non-red-coated guard. He should salute.

https://youtu.be/-LzJmb0rrow

Golden Locks: Stole the audiograph from the gallery without disabling the safeguard floor
On the second floor of Shan Yun's house, there’s a room with an electric floor. Don’t disable the floor’s power. Instead, shoot the glass display case closest to the door and then Displace directly into the case. Pick up the audiograph and the Achievement will pop.

https://youtu.be/gQH5oPRr24w

Nightingale: Used Semblance to mimic Shan Yun and sing into the microphone
On the third floor of Shan Yun's house, you’ll need to unlock his safe (which is voice (song) locked). Use Semblance on Shan Yun (so don’t kill him) and sing into the microphone. Note that even though this doesn’t actually unlock the safe, this is how the Achievement pops.

https://youtu.be/EF4eA4WqePo

Art Aficionado: Collected all Eleuterio Cienfuegos paintings
For this achievement, collect all eight collectible paintings in a single playthrough. There are three paintings in this mission:

- “The Summit Illuminated.” Above pharmacy.
- “Impression of the Void n 3.” Shan Yun’s house, 3rd floor, past dumbwaiter room.
- “Impression of the Void n 2.” Shan Yun’s room on 3rd floor.

https://youtu.be/Yv8POpwSRDA?t=26

Two Turns: Took both bank vault keys
One key is in Shan Yun’s safe. The other is in Ivan Jacobi’s apartment. The Achievement will pop after picking up the second key. Story mission. Can’t miss.

Mercenary Work: Completed all contracts
For this Achievement, complete all 13 Contracts in a single playthrough. The four Mission 2 Contracts are:

- Kidnap the Bartender: "The bartender at the Spector Club is a lying, heartless snake and needs to be taught a lesson. I'm going to bury him in my garden with the sunflowers, let him think about his mistake for a day or two. If you want to make some easy money, stash him in the crate I left on the rooftops near the Red Camellia."
- Death to the Mime: "I'll split the insurance coin with whoever arrange the death of Georgie Botello, also known as "The Cyrian Mime." He performs most days on Duchess Lisandra Avenue, which is not too far from Dead Man's Bluff, an infamous suicide spot here in Upper Cyria. Be smart, make it look convincing and we have a deal."
- Work Place Harassment: "I work at Dolores Michaels' bank, and a certain "customer" is tormenting me. Threatens and blackmails me she does, nails dead bloodflies to my door when I don't pay. I've no idea who she works for, but if you follow her quietly I bet she'll lead you right to them. Kill her and her business associates to earn your stipend."
- The Missing Brother: "I was hoping to meet my brother Alberto near Malveros Victory Plaza this morning, but he was nowhere to be found! His assistant at the dental office mentioned something about a broken jaw, and exotic cocktails at the Spector Club. If you find him, please take him to my cabin alongside the canal."

The Contracts can be found on a bulletin board in the Black Market shop.
Mission 3 – The Bank Job
Big-time Player: Won the auction at Colibron Plaza
I’m recommending doing this Achievement right after starting the mission. I tried it a bit later without following the optional objective markers and couldn’t do it. It’s easy enough to do. Just follow the markers to the pharmacy, then to the pharmacist’s daughter, and then to the auction. All you need is 480 coins. Make sure you pick up your goods after you win. Specifically, the Poppy Tincture and the Painting.

https://youtu.be/cASo88Th9f0

Party Crasher: Sent the vault crashing through the floor
I did all of these Vault Achievements in one run as part of doing “The Perfect Crime” Achievement (see below - and I had to use PowerPyx’s walkthrough to do it). Note that doing them all together will require some backtracking since there are Contracts and Paintings that need to be done in the bank.

For this one, you’ll need the Vault key from the 3rd floor office. From there, you’ll need to get to the top floor where you can get a lever, access the top of the lift, and drop the vault. The vault will drop when you pull the 4th lever and the Achievement will pop.

https://youtu.be/N97yKDKyN-A

Obsessive Safe-cracker: Opened every safe inside the main vault
Once in the Vault, you’ll need to open the 5 combination safes as well as the keyed mission safe. The algorithm for the safe codes is found in the bank. But, they’re just the digits from the Fibonacci series minus one chunk for the keyed-safe: 011, 235, 813, 455, 891 (clockwise from the door, left to right). I opened all the safes in order (including the keyed safe). But, I’ve seen comments saying to open the combination safes before opening the keyed safe. The Achievement will pop once all the safes are open.

https://youtu.be/lEmCyyZ-vK8

Twin-bladed Knife: Obtained an ancient weapon
Story mission. Can’t miss. Pops when you take the twin-bladed knife from the safe.

The Perfect Crime: Emptied the vault without tampering with any security systems, leaving everyone unharmed and asleep
This is a tough one and I had to use PowerPyx’s walkthrough to get it (see link, below). You have to rob the bank without disabling any security devices and without physically knocking out or killing any guards or civilians INSIDE the bank. You’ll need the Poppy Tincture either from the Auction (480 coins) or from the Black Market (800 coins). You’ll also need to leave everyone in the bank asleep. Note that the Achievement doesn’t pop until you leave the bank and re-enter the Upper Cyria area. So, I’d recommend saving once you’re in a position to leave the bank, leave to get the Achievement, then load up the game to backtrack through the bank to finish other things.

https://youtu.be/7-qIck9J0-k

Art Aficionado: Collected all Eleuterio Cienfuegos paintings
For this achievement you have to collect all 8 collectible paintings in a single playthrough. There are four paintings in this mission:

- “Luca Abele. Self-Portrait.” On a boat across from your skiff. The key is on a body in the water under the boat.
- “The Lonely Rat Boy.” At the auction.
- “Impression of the Void n 4.” 3rd floor of the bank.
- “Impression of the Void n 1.” In an alcove off the electrified basement floor of the bank.

The whole Achievement will pop upon picking up the last painting in this mission.

https://youtu.be/Yv8POpwSRDA?t=118

Mercenary Work: Completed all contracts
For this Achievement, complete all 13 Contracts in a single playthrough. The four Mission 3 Contracts are:

- Rags to Riches to Rags: "Overheard at the Spector Club: someone quite drunk, bragging loudly. "When I first came to Karnaca, I only had 315 coin to my name – and today I opened my own lockbox at the bank!" Three cocktails later, it was revealed that said lockbox is next to some journalist's and contains a precious gemstone. Get me that gem!"
- Quiet as a Mouse: "Meryl Jennett has an appointment with the Director of the Bank tonight. She plans to store her most precious belongings there, one of which is an infamous address book. We need you to copy down page 125 without raising suspicion – that means no getting caught, and no harming bank personnel!" (harming bank personel or triggering an alarm (even after picking it up) will void this)
- The Art Connoisseur: "An exquisite painting by Duke Abele himself is currently locked up on a delivery boat in Upper Cyria. Such a masterpiece deserves to be cherished by someone who can fully appreciate it's worth, not bought or sold or traded away for a few lousy bonecharms. I'm offering a substantial rewards to whoever steals it for me."
- Pickpocket’s Delight: "Quick errand for the talented pickpocket. There's an Elite Guard stationed on Cadmus Abele plaza here in Upper Cyria. He has a note attached to his belt that he's planning to deliver tonight. Do me a favor and steal the note without him or anyone else noticing. If they catch you, you ain't getting paid!"

The Contracts can be found on a bulletin board in the Black Market shop.
Mission 4 – The Stolen Archive
Final Nudge: Pushed an enemy to his demise using Void Strike
Right at the start, on the bridge to the Conservatory, there’s an Overseer standing near the edge. Just run up to him, charge the twin-bladed knife, and stun him off the edge. The Achievement should pop.

https://youtu.be/x4B8mBhuO8E

The Face of the Abbey: Attended the meeting as Brother Cardoza
Cardoza will be performing an autopsy on the Conservatory’s top floor. When you find him, an Oracular Sister will be telling him about a meeting. When she leaves, sneak up and use Semblance on him. Walk to the group of Sisters and talk to the leader. The Achievement should pop.

https://youtu.be/4kaC-5qGfbg

Gnosis: Recovered the stolen archive
During the above meeting with the Oracular Sisters, their leader will give you the silvergraph from the archive. The Achievement should pop. If it doesn’t, you might have to put the silvergraph in a viewer, first. Story mission. Can’t miss.

Voices: Broke 4 Oraculum censers and listened to the prophecies
On the second floor of the Conservatory, the Oraculum area from Dishonored 2 will be curtained off. Enter and hit the four censers (black bottles with smoke coming out) in the room with your sword. The voices will begin and the Achievement will pop. The censers are unbreakable. You just need to hit them until the smoke stops coming out of them.

https://youtu.be/TqFaeGWaXHU

Mercenary Work: Completed all contracts
For this Achievement, complete all 13 Contracts in a single playthrough. The three Mission 4 Contracts are:

- Alvaro and the Abbey: "I have good reason to believe that the Abbey of the Everyman is committing unspeakable crimes within the Royal Conservatory. If you're as fond of them as I am, kill every last Blind Sister and Overseer except for Brother Cardoza. Leave him in one of his "musical chairs" and I'll deal with him myself."
- Pilfer the Prophecies: "Sister Rosewyn keeps a detailed record of her prophetic visions. Rumor has it she knows every secret in the Isles: murder, treason, love affairs... That kind of information could turn me into a very powerful lady. I'll give all my bonecharms to whoever manages to infiltrate the Royal Conservatory and steal that book."
- A Risky Wager: "I abandoned my apartment last night because of the Abbey's wretched quarantine. in my haste I left a precious relic behind, but I doubt anyone has seized it, considering how well-protected it is. In fact, I'm offering good coin to anyone who is clever enough to bypass the defenses and live to tell the tale!"

The Contracts can be found on a bulletin board in the Black Market shop.

NOTE: the “Alvaro and the Abbey” Contract requires you to KILL (not knock out or avoid) every Overseer and Oracular Sister in the area except Cardoza. All 55 of them (EDIT: it was 55 for my run -- several people have commented (and I've seen other posts elsewhere) that it's not necessarily 55 people who you have to kill -- I've seen references for between 52 and 57 kills). It would be best if you went directly to the Black Market and picked up that Contract right away just to make sure you don’t have to double-back and find where you stashed the bodies.

I’m not certain, but I believe the Achievement will pop immediately after finishing the last Contract. You don’t have to wait until you finish the mission.
Mission 5 – A Hole in the World
Dead Eye: Touched the Eye of the Dead God
Just reach the Eye of the Dead God and touch it. The Achievement will pop. Story mission. Can’t miss.

Harder than Stone: Destroyed an Envisioned cultist
Once through the Eye, you’ll run across the Envisioned. Just kill one. I’m not sure if it’s the only thing that will work, but the twin-bladed knife did.

https://youtu.be/CSR57EZ9okA

Final Release: Returned the Outsider to the mortal world
This one and the following one (“Deicide”) are the Achievements for the non-lethal and lethal endings. This is the non-lethal one. As you approach the area where the Outsider is, make a save. Go through the non-lethal conversation paths with Daud and you’ll get this one. See below for the lethal one.

Deicide: Killed the Outsider
Lethal ending. After getting the “Final Release” Achievement, load your last save. But, this time, choose a lethal conversation option with Daud.

For Alvaro and the Abbey: I also had a sister sleeping at the top by the stage with Sister Rosewyn I was running around forever. Thanks @acibi

Great guide. I wish all guides would have the chronological format. Thank you so much! Reviewed while playing and had one spotted by enemy count. Wondered where I incurred this then I remembered that civilians are counted. Got mad and killed that civilian (knocked him unconscious first then went into Shan Yu's house). haha. Will try to get it when I speedrun Original Game +.

Very nice guide.

Cheers for this, wish more guides were chronological.

For Alvaro and the Abbey: I thought I killed all of them. And was sure to end the level. But then checked online. Everyone goes through this stage. At the end everyone finds 2-3 unconscious guys lying around the dead.

So, I started organizing my dead. Put them all together at each floor to see who is snoring. Outside 10, Basement 7, Ground Floor 11, 1/F 8, 2/F 8, and when I arrived to terrace, I found the snoring sister. The one right in front of Sister Rosewyn. I killed that one with great joy, and the achievement popped. Of course Brother was already at their musical throne.

Then I continued my cleaning service. The terrace had 9 bodies. Overall I had 53 bodies, which corresponds with the end-level statistics.

Friendly note: Please don't use grenades or displace on the people if you are going to clean them up later on. Body parts go over everywhere and gathering them is not fun.

It is four in the morning, and I can finally sleep after this tedious tedious contract.

Thanks a lot for this guide. The chronological order helped a lot.

For "Alvaro and the Abbey:" I did put Alvaro in the chair before I killed the remaining blind sisters on the roof and the job was finished too.

I can confirm, that the achivement for "Mercenary Work: Completed all contracts" will pop up right after you finished the last job.

excellent guide, many thanks!

Thank you author of this guide for offering a more substantial tip to get Hooked than the 'just throw the mines in this area and hope for the best' type of 'advice' I got in a different guide that completely overlooked a problem. That being the fisherman sitting down and always getting lodged on something rather than getting flung over the canal railings. Took a few attempts with placing a mine and throwing him at it after choking him out but it eventually worked out in just a handful of attempts.
BichaDoDemonio 27. juni 2021 kl. 10.53
To me was 54 kills.
