I finally beat this damn boss at Level 122. Took about 10 tries trying various different strategies and getting its attack patterns down. He isn't too bad once you figure him out to be fair.

Just keep dodging back after getting a swipe at him from the front. Attacking him from the front will eventually stun and stagger him and he will fall to his knees for about 3 seconds where you can attack him further. Once this happens you will have about 90 seconds where each of your attacks from the front will do about 4x as much damage than they normally do. This is the key to beating him. After a while the damage goes back to normal but use this time to attack him for massive damage.

Beware of his charge attack and don't get too close. When he does his lava attack try and approach him from the side to get a few attacks in or even do a couple of charge attacks.

Never get greedy or he will just one shot you.
