In todays Pimax 8K and 5K benchmark video, we are taking a in-depth look at the air and ground combat simulator War Thunder in Virtual Reality! I have made some deep analysis testing the War Thunder performance with both the Pimax 8K and the Pimax 5K+, and I will give you my recommended settings for a smooth 80 and 90fps frame rate giving you full VR immersion!

The Pimax 8K and the Pimax 5K+ are two next generation high end VR headsets with ultra wide FOV and high resultion display panels releasing soon. They are a big step forward from the current VR generation of HTC Vive, HTC Vive Pro, Samsung Odyssey and Oculus Rift. The  Pimax VR headsets are getting released for first backers at the beginning of October 2018 and pre-orders starts later the same month.

Hi Martin.. Thank you, its due to your awesome videos and information that I purchased an 8KX. Also set up as per your recommendations and the result is awesome, including the Steam FPS app . The FPS Average 62; Rtx 2080 GPU is running well and these are my current results with some trial and error twicking. GPU Frametime 17.5ms GPU 80C 98%; REs by Setting 3620x3120;Total Res setting 40%; GPU Mem 7.2/8.0Gb; CPU Franetime 5 to 9 say 6.7ms; CPU at 60C 25%
