Introduction
Among the standard Mann Co Supply Crates there is a rare chance you might find a Salvaged Crate. This guide will give you information about what can be found in these crates and some additional information about where you can buy and sell them.

Obtaining Crates
Salvaged Mann Co Supply Crates can be obtained through the in-game drop system. They are very rare and they contain a lot of desirable loot. There are multiple series of the Salvaged Crates, and when a new series is introduced, the previous series is phased out.

The blue text on the item description will display which series the crate is.

Salvaged Crates are also tradable if you can find somebody willing to trade one. You can either make a post on the official TF2 trading forum or join a trading server. Additionally you can look at some of the community driven trading websites below.

Whenever you use a third party website for trading always practice safe browsing habits; Steam Support has a great article on this which can be found here. You can also follow some of these tips to avoid being taken advantage of or scammed by dishonest users.

Additionally you can read my guide on avoiding common scams.

Steam Community Market
Salvaged Supply Crates can also be sold and purchased on the Steam Community Market. Because the market is Community driven pricing will fluctuate and the crates are subject to availability.

To search for a Salvaged Crate on the Steam Community Market type the word "Salvaged" into the Search box located on the right side of the page.

Locate the Salvaged Mann Co Supply Crate from the list of results and click on it.

Underneath the Median Sale Prices section of the item listing there is a search bar. In this box you can specify which Series you're looking for. For example you could type in "30" and it would list only Series #30 crates.

As a precaution, before you commit to the purchase of a Salvaged Crate hover over the item thumbnail on actual listing left of the Buy Now button. Pay attention to the blue text to make sure that it's the correct crate series you're purchasing. Every Salvaged Crate series is bundled into the same listing because they share the same name.

More information regarding the Steam Community Market can be found by reading my guide. It will outline the entire process of buying and selling on the market and it will go into detail about how to ensure you're getting a fair price.

Last time I opened up a crate which had 1/9 chance of it being something I didn't want...I got exactly that.

Hell, it could've been a strange of a bunch of weapons I'd be overly joyous of getting, or an unusual, or a Pyro hat.

Nope.

Strange Ubercharged Kills Counter.
