ARABIAN CAMELS

The dromedary is a large, even-toed ungulate with one hump on its back. The smallest of the three species of camel with distinctive features including its long, curved neck, narrow chest, and a single hump. The coat is generally a shade of brown with the hump, 20cm tall or more, is made of fat bound together by fibrous tissue. The strength and docility of the dromedary make it popular as a domesticated animal. They are also used for their meat and milk.
