How to clear up 4GO to be less blurry.
By Katcher
A quick, and hopefully simple, guide to improving CDN:4GO's visuals. Please note that this can heavily impact your performance.

Locating and Editing "Engine.ini"
  • Press WindowsKey+R to bring up the run prompt.

  • In the dialog box type in "%localappdata%" without quotations, hit enter, then locate the cyberdimension folder. There should be a single folder titled "Saved" and within that folder, three others.

  • Open the folder titled "Config" and then open up "Engine.ini" with notepad.

  • In the ini file paste
    [SystemSettings] r.ScreenPercentage=100
    This should result in the ini file looking like this
    [Core.System] Paths=../../../Engine/Content Paths=%GAMEDIR%Content Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Runtime/CriWare/Content Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/2D/Paper2D/Content [SystemSettings] r.ScreenPercentage=100

  • For the next step I would highly recommend downloading THIS MOD HERE to save you a lot of time when restarting 4GO multiple times.

  • Tweak the screen percentage value, boot the game and load into a dungeon(Fiyar Mines is a good place to test out performance). Play around in the dungeon with everything at your disposal. If performance isn't passable quit the game, tweak the screen percentage, and repeat. Do note that the post proccessing and effects will be the reason for performance lost.
My Sys-Specs and my results with this method.
  • core i5-7600k@3.8Ghz
  • 16GB(2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4@3200Mhz
  • Asus Turbo GTX 1060 6GB
  • Some 1080p acer monitor with 1ms response I got for £99
With the screen percentage set to 200 I could achieve a full 60fps at 1080p only with both effects and post processing set to 1. After fiddling around by lowering the value gradually from 200 I've managed to achieve 60fps at 1080p with the percentage value set at 130 while PostProccess and Effects where set at 4.

I want to point out that the value can go higher than 200(if you have the hardware for it). I tried 4GO out with the screen percentage set to 400 and got about 5fps. Game looked fantastic at least as long as I didn't move.
The point of this?
Make Vert's boobs less blurry.
Disabling Motion Blur Without Killing Other Post Processes
If you've foloowed the guide thus far your Engine.ini should look like this more or less;

[Core.System] Paths=../../../Engine/Content Paths=%GAMEDIR%Content Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Runtime/CriWare/Content Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/2D/Paper2D/Content [SystemSettings] r.ScreenPercentage=100

Go back into Engine.ini and under [SystemSettings] type(or copy&paste) the line r.MotionBlurQuality=0. The Engine.ini should now look like this;

[Core.System] Paths=../../../Engine/Content Paths=%GAMEDIR%Content Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Runtime/CriWare/Content Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/2D/Paper2D/Content [SystemSettings] r.ScreenPercentage=100 r.MotionBlurQuality=0

Can´t you just go straight to 3840x2160 resolution?
Cause thats basically what this "hack" does, it multiplies your Resolution (200% = 2 Times 1080p, 300% = 3 Times 1080p...)

@Masaki Ren I'll probably add this into the guide but if you add r.MotionBlurQuality=0 under [SystemSettings] also you can kill the motion blur without killing the other Post Processing effects

with this you dont need to use antialiasing, using the [SystemSettings]
r.ScreenPercentage= line appears to be a form of super sampling. have it set to 175 with post process at 1 (hate motion blur) and effects at 4 running 60fps 1080p on a Zotac GTX 1070 and i7-7700K @ 4.20GHz
