Byzantine heavy cavalry are really strong, this build will get you there consistently. Your cavalry should go straight to their villagers, don't worry about tc fire, just sit on their eco and snipe as many villager as possible.

2 villi to wood
3 villi to sheep/boar
2 villi to make house and kill deer
rally to deer until 7 (once deer finish send 5 to gold and 2 to wood) -wood villager should make 2 houses
rally to sheep until 7 (14 total on food)
rally to wood until 8
rally to make 1 house + 2 stable
take berries, stop at 13 on food
rally to gold until 8
the rest to wood or where-ever and upgrade economy

@Msurg the relics give you different bonuses, you can view them by hovering your mouse on the relic icon on the top section of the screen

@Space Moon Cat - If you're playing military first, the best way is to deny their gold, it should force them to transition to something else. If its too late for that, at least try to keep them defending a bit to buy yourself some time, heavy cav are much better at attacking than defending. If you're playing economy, I guess just try not to lose too many workers and build a bunch of towers or rush out spearmen.

Great guide, I wonder what is the best way of countering the Heavy Cav Rush
