Freddie! (Shopkeeper Beatmap Mod)

Many know the tale of Octavian, the bard who cursed his village so many years ago when he set out to seek the power of the Golden Lute.

Few know that he had a cousin: Alfred.

A merchant by trade, Freddie (as most of the townsfolk called him) was blessed from a young age with a powerful singing voice. Some say that his voice was the only musical force strong enough to rival Octavian's playing.

Soon after Octavian left town, strange things started to happen in the village. Freddie had heard rumours of the crypt Octavian set out to find, and had to find out what was going on...

This mod replaces Cadence with a new character: Freddie! Freddie plays largely the same as Cadence, with a key difference: When he sings, his voice overrides the beatmap. Some sections of levels will be slower, some faster. Pay attention to the beat markers!

Changes:
- Beatmaps match the shopkeeper's singing (plus a new version of the King Conga beatmap)
- Music is edited to include the shopkeeper's singing in the background
- Cadence becomes Freddie
- The Necrodancer becomes Octavian
- The various shopkeepers become variants of the Diamond Dealer (to avoid unpleasant time paradoxes)
- Dorian becomes Nicolas Daoust (because why not)

Important notes:

- Disables achievements/leaderboards due to messing about with the beatmaps. (You'll get a warning about the XML, but nothing's actually changed in it)
- Will only work when the DannyB version of the soundtrack is on
- Highly recommended to use: Beat bars ON, beating heart OFF. Works with both regular shopkeeper and Daoust, but the main music (and beat syncing) will always be Freddie.
- Will technically work with other characters, but recommend not to use double-beat characters (Bolt/Coda) or beat-critical characters (Aria/Coda)
- Don't take Shrine of Rhythm unless you enjoy pain. You have been warned.
- If you encounter issues with lag when the game tries to load voice sounds, try renaming the "sounds" folder in the mod directory
- Only tested with the AMPLIFIED DLC. If you encounter problems playing with the base game let me know and I can release an alternative version.
