well, they wont shoot in a hostage situation, but not on an armed one... and the scatter pattern on the gunner is a realistic disability!

Troopers won't fire if they think it would hurt hostages, plus they very rarely miss with shotguns, I use shotguns preferebly to everything else, unless I face a task shotguns can't handle with, and I never killed a hostage with it. Not a single time. You still need to flashbang crap out of bandits whatever you are armed with if you have multiple hostages, so it won't make much difference any way.

if youd like to get all the hostage dead... ima stick with precise fire assaults for long-CQB range...

I wouldn't take assaults either, I would take shotguns because they are generaly much better in room cleaning.

Juggernaut would disagree. He simply holds the trigger and slays entire squads.
