Introduction⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For this guide, we'll take a look on how to obtain every achievement in Beat Hazard. To do this, I'd recommend picking up the optional DLC if you plan on achieving 100% in Beat Hazard. "Shadow Operations Unit" adds 16 new achievements to the total. Without it, you'll only be able to obtain 47/63 (75%). If you haven't bought it yet, head down to the link at the bottom of the guide for the store page.

There aren't any "missable" achievements since the game is broken up in levels based on individual songs that you can hand-pick, so don't worry about that. Happy hunting!

General Achievements
"1st Track Cleared"
Complete your first track
Survive any one track to unlock this achievement.

"25!"
Complete 25 tracks
Survive 25 tracks to unlock this achievement. Each track completed will only count once. You cannot complete the same track 25 times.

"50!"
Complete 50 tracks
Survive 50 tracks to unlock this achievement. Each track completed will only count once. You cannot complete the same track 50 times.

"100!"
Complete 100 tracks
Survive 100 tracks to unlock this achievement. Each track completed will only count once. You cannot complete the same track 100 times.

"Perfect"
Complete a track of at least 3 minutes without losing a life
Survive any track 3:00 or longer without being hit once.

"Don't Panic"
Don't fire for 60 seconds
Ideally, this is best done on the lowest difficulty to decrease the amount of enemies on the screen, but it can be accomplished on any difficulty you'd like. After 60 seconds of not firing (including bombs), this achievement will unlock.

"x100"
Get a x100 Multiplier
Collect enough multiplyers during any one track that is x100 or higher to unlock this achievement.

"Boss Slayer"
Kill 8 bosses in 1 game
Choose a long track and you should have no issues with this achievement. You can also unlock this achievement during the "Boss Rush" mode.

"Brutal Boss Kill"
Kill a boss before it fires
I recommend stocking up on bombs or a few ultra beams and when a boss comes on screen, spam one or both of these. Make sure you focus fire on their turrets. As long as you remove their ability to fire, you can mop up their corpse at your leisure.

"Pwnage"
Get a 1,000 kill streak
Kill 1,000 enemies without dying. You'll earn this naturally as it's not terribly difficult.

"A Real Dare Devil"
In Normal Mode get the Dare Devil multiplier 10 times
Dare devil multiplyers are described as not firing for a certain duration of time. You can start earning them from the beginning of any song; the amount of enemies or their proximinity to you in game is not factored in.

"Go Platinum"
In Normal Mode score 1 million points in one track
A very straight forward achievement. You'll earn this one naturally while playing.

"The First Step"
Level up
As you complete tracks, you'll earn points towards your rank. This will be one of the first few achievements you earn.

"Half Way There"
Reach the rank of Senior Officer
As you complete tracks, you'll earn points towards your rank. Hitting senior officer will unlock this achievement. Don't worry, it's quick work and no extra grinding is really needed.

"Elite!"
Reach the rank of Elite
As you complete tracks, you'll earn points towards your rank. Hitting elite will unlock this achievement. Don't worry, it's quick work and no extra grinding is really needed.

"The First Hour", "High 5", "Veteran"
Accumulate 1 hour of play", "Accumulate 5 hours of play" & "Accumulate 10 hours of play
You'll earn these naturally through normal progression. It'll take longer to grind the other achievements than the full ten hours so no need trying for the time-based achievements on their own.

"Millionare"
Score 1 Million Points
Points are cumulative, so you'll earn this achievement over time.

"Muti Millionare"
Score 5 Million Points
Points are cumulative, so you'll earn this achievement over time.

"Dude of Hazard"
Score 10 Million Points
Points are cumulative, so you'll earn this achievement over time.
General Achievements
"Tough Guy"
Complete a 4+ minute track on Suicidal difficulty
Complete any song that is at least 4:01 in length to complete this achievement. Remember to unlock the insane difficulty under the "Manage Perks" menu first! This is the hardest difficulty and will take some time and practice to get down. I suggest sticking to one track you know well and maxing out some perks prior to trying if you're having difficulty. I personally prefer investing in extra lives and bombs to help get me out of tricky situations or if I get backed into a corner.

"Death By A Thousand Cuts"
Get 10,000 kills using Micro Missiles
Pretty straight forward. Unlock the ability to spawn micro missiles and rack up a total of 10,000 kills with them. You can find the option to unlock them in your "Manage Perks" menu on the main page.

"Death Star"
Get 10,000 kills using the Ultra Beam power up
Pretty straight forward. Unlock the ability to spawn ultra beam and rack up a total of 10,000 kills with them. You can find the option to unlock them in your "Manage Perks" menu on the main page.

"Untouchable"
Reflect 10,000 projectiles using the Reflect Shield power up
Pretty straight forward. Unlock the ability to spawn reflect shield and rack up a total of 10,000 reflected projectiles. You can find the option to unlock them in your "Manage Perks" menu on the main page.

"Ultra Beam of Death"
Kill 150 enemies with 1 Ultra Beam blast
Sounds harder than it really is and to do this it's recommended to do it on one of the higher dificulties (Insane/Suicidal). Songs with higher tempos and especially longer tracks will allow you to accumulate more enemies on screen. Once you've piled them up by not firing (hold off as long as you can), let the beam loose and spin around to hit everything in a 360 degree radius. You should easilly unlock it.

"Reflection"
Reflect 150 projectiles with 1 Shield burst
This one can be tricky sometimes. I found doing it on the highest difficulty during boss encounters to be the best way to handle it. On the higher difficulties, regular enemies can fire a variety of projectiles not seen in lower difficulties, making this achievement a bit easier to handle.

"Cool Tracks!"
Visit a musicians website from the Credits screen
Go to the "Credits" screen and scroll down a bit and click on any of the websites of the artists featured in Beat Hazard. Check them out if you want, or just close the webpage after doing so. Either way, you'll unlock this achievement.

"Music Tour"
Score at least 1,000,000 on each built in track
Pick any one track that the game comes with; playing it on at least "Hardcore" difficulty will earn you this achievement.

"A Real Mine Sweeper"
Hit 50 mines in one track without losing a life
This can be accomplished by investing in the reflect shield perk. When activated, run into as many mines as you can to unlock it. Longer tracks obviously help, as well as not attacking the mine laying enemies/bosses when they arrive on screen.

"Tug of War"
Have a 10 second tug of war with a Stalker
Stalker enemies are the ones that come on screen and try to pull you towards them to kill you. You'll have to purposely fly into their trackor beam and stay in limbo for ten seconds to unlock this achievement; it's relatively easy with a little practice.

"Boss Dance"
Survive with 4 bosses on the screen in Boss Rush mode
In boss rush, you fight against an onslaught of bosses. Keeping four of them alive at once will earn you this achievement. I highly recommend keeping the ship-type bosses alive and simply stripping off their turrets and leaving them alive. They just need to be alive, not lethal.
General Achievements
"I'm Just Starting", "Don't Stop Me Now", "Coming Through!", "Survival Champion!"
Reach (5,10,15,20) Minutes in Survival Mode
For survival modes, you'll likely need to play through multiple songs in order to complete the time requirements. For this, I'd advise both on songs you're familiar with so you can anticipate any increases/decreases in song tempo. You'll also want to choose a mixture of songs that have very little, if any transitional dead noise between tracks. Enemies will still spawn during these times, but your weapons will be all but useless.

"Perks!"
Unlock all the Perks
Buy each available perk under the "Manage Perks" to unlock this one.

"Perk MAXED" & "Mad MAXED"
Buy all the upgrades for a Perk/Max out all the Perks
Play long enough and collect enough money drops and you'll be able to earn this one. Once a perk is maxed out, it will indicate at the end of the description.

"Cash Grab"
Get $10,000 in the bank
The only way to earn money is to collect the cash powerups during each track. You do not earn money for completing songs, so keep an eye out for them!

"Completely Insane"
Complete a 4+ minute track on Insane difficulty
Complete any song that is at least 4:01 in length to complete this achievement. Remember to unlock the insane difficulty under the "Manage Perks" menu first!

Always remember that even if a track is a few seconds short, such as this one, it will not count towards the achievement!

"Boss King"
Get to Wave 30 in Boss Rush mode
Surviving to wave 30 will take a few tries, but as you get acustomed to how each boss interacts and their attack patterns, it's not terribly difficult. Prace, practice, practice!

"Striptease"
Strip 2 bosses of their turrets and keep them alive for 60s
The hardest part of this is keeping them alive, as you'll have to make a conscious effort to avoid hitting them once you remove their turrets. Focus fire on only their turrets to avoid killing them prior to removing them. Once they look like this, leave them alone:

"Survive Christmas (5,10,15,20)"
In Survival Mode last 5, 10, 15 and 20 mins while playing to a Christmas Radio Station
Beat Hazard features a festive Christmas station that plays non-stop Christmas music. Surviving can be difficult not only because of the length you need to go (20 minutes), but because a lot of songs aren't as up-tempoed and heavy-handed like most music you probably listen to, making luls in the action and a weaker beam obstacles you'll have to overcome.

With enough practice though, you'll get it. If you don't hate listening to Christmas music already, this achievement bundle will leave you wanting to listen to anything else. Good luck!

I didn't really go for it at first and just played around, so I can't see it being more than 50 hours, but I'd say you could realistically do it in 30-40.
