This game absolutely deserves the title "Best Game of the Year".
For those who don't know yet, this game is based on the decades-old tabletop fantasy game Dungeons & Dragons. I've only played D&D a couple of times and wanted to get back to playing it, but I felt like I didn't know enough about the workings of it. So, when I came upon Baldur's Gate 3 and read the amazing reviews, I was instantly sold. Or rather, I instantly bought.

This game is perfect for:
- People who don't know anything about D&D, and don't want to try it
- People who don't know anything about D&D, but want to try it
- People who are actively trying to learn how D&D works
- People who know pretty well how D&D works
- People who know every bit and piece of lore that there is possibly to know of the infinite depths of D&D stories, creatures, places, religions, characters, artifacts, spells and more
- People who want to have a cool adventure
- People who want to climb into an immersive fantasy world with mythical creatures of all kind, countless Gods for you to piss off and thousands of magical artefacts, weapons, utilities or armour pieces for you to loot
- People who like to use or learn strategy in big fights against many foes, one enormously overpowered foe, or both (or find a loophole to skip the fight altogether. The devs of this game have thought of basically anything you can and will inevitably try, so go ahead and try stuff out!)
- People who like to jump into a fight they can't win head-first, to try and find out if they can win (just save the game first! Or go hardcore and never save or reload - up to you!)
- People who want to spend the first 10 hours of a game in character creation, then play the game for 1 hour, start a new playthrough and spend another 10 hours in another character's creation
- People who want to play medieval bard music and/or listen to an incredible score in the background
- People who want to meet a whole big bunch of interesting, complex characters with their own storylines to complete, who also have an incredibly enjoyable dynamic with each other as they banter away while you traverse the wide world of D&D
- People who want to look at stunning graphics and settings (both architecturally and naturally stunning - or a stunning person you can romance)
- People who want to flirt with a vampire who's prettier than Edward Cullen
- People who want to romance a goth girl with religious trauma going on
- People who want to kiss a woman who could burn your skin right off, but doesn't want to, because she's a cinnamon roll
- People who want to dance with a handsome folk hero with a mysterious and demonic mistress
- People who want to fight to the death to earn the love of a fighting frog lady
- People who want... Bear. I don't really understand those but if you want to romance a bear, you can!
- People who want to learn magic from a pretty wizard man and then romance him
- People who want to either turn evil with an evil dictator woman, or help redeem the evil dictator woman
- People who want to pet adorable pets (BUT PROTECT THEM AT ALL COSTS - if you do so, they'll be fine! <3)

I'm probably forgetting about a hundred things, but I really do recommend this game to everyone!
This game is literally enormous. The side-quests and loot to find seem infinite. You pay for one game, but get a whole lot more than that. Don't worry about finishing the game too soon either, because it'll take a ton of hours, and every playthrough is unique, so you can always start another one!
