First Impression: Gorgeous art that conveys the story of a young lady named Gris struggling to process the loss of a loved one.

Gameplay: Simple and smooth gameplay using a Xbox controller. As for the game itself, it is compromised of platforming, light puzzles and some puzzle solving. Finding all the extra stars (in the game they are referred to as mementos) is fun but challenging as it requires some brain power to solve the puzzles / figuring out how to reach them.

When new controls are introduced, they are well explained so you know how to use them.

Story: Gris is a young woman is struggling after the loss of a loved one and her journey to heal. In this game, no words are spoken but rather the entire story is conveyed through music and beautiful art. Gris tackles topics such as depression, grief and healing in a sensitive and respectful manner. Poignant moments are masterfully done and they never come across as melodramatic or heavy handed.

Music: The music is serene and soothing. Whenever the music changes, it sets the emotional tone of the story.

TL;DR Review: A beautiful game comprised of beautiful art and lovely music along with excellent story telling.
