So much quality of life improvement quality the first game. Same great art style, improved story hooks, an attempt was made at voice acting improved enemy AI, better level layouts.

But the game just drags on and on and on and on.

Also ♥♥♥♥ the 22 lever level! I'm supposed to hunt 22 individual levers, just because the Devs don't know how to make a believable city ruin built by alien cosmic beings? Like why would quasi gods even build levers?!

Great art style with catchy music....but botches the landing. Story narration is flat, story beats are disjointed, and in level story hooks are irrelevant.

Enemies of the same type use the same timing for attacks. You walk into a room and get blasted by a splooge of green balls then have a widow of time to attack. Resulting in a cover shooter play style instead of running and gunning, core to any boomer-shooter. Adding to that enemies are often placed behind blind corners resulting in every repetitive and boring combat.

Upgrade system is wide but every shallow, begging you to play new game+. Unfortunately despite loving the Lovecraft mythos i could only last till ACT 4.

TLDR: Too repetitive too long too boring

Like the atmosphere. Hate everything else.

More puzzle than XCOM when it comes to the combat. But as a man who is more Donner party than Sun Tzu when its come to forward thinking, it's a welcomed difference. The writing comes in fast and from left field. If you are still unsure the demo gives you taste of the Intro and ch 1

Kinda boring after awhile. If you like casual card games with very little learning curve check it out. Seeing multiple currencies in the game reminds me a little too much of mobile games. And no hate devs, are people with mouths to feed. But someone who has little interest in pvp the fact that the full campaign cost $40 and is only 20 matches is what caused to nor recommend.
