So I got this game when it was having a free weekend one day and have been waiting for it to go on a big sale since the day it launched. I am a long time huge Ark fan and I loved playing the first game for thousands of hours on my Playstation 4. The story is by far one of the best story's a game, let alone a survival game, has to offer. But when I switched to PC and wanted to play the game here, it was a big disappointment. One of my favorite games I sunk hours and hours into was now a whopping 300 - 400GB, a lot of people including me would have to delete half their library if not more for this one game.

I about lost my mind when I saw that, but with this game on the horizon my hope was not lost. I thought to myself, "finally I can play Ark on PC with it not talking up my entire hard drive!" But the worst was yet to come. Once I saw the reviews I got skeptical, so I waited until it was really cheap if not free. Once that day came I downloaded the game and started it up. The new UI was really cool and easy to navigate, but when I got into a game things got really bad.

At first the character creation was cool, but once I spawned in I couldn't even move it was so laggy. and on top of that the game looked like a damn playdough world. Once I tweaked the settings to try to make it run better, even watching tutorials on how, I could finally move, but my frames were running at about 20 - 30, which is not that good at all. And not to mention it somehow looked worse, any worse and I might as well just be playing a game made by a 4th grader in unity.

Overall I was extremely disappointed and honestly a little sad, a game that I loved so much, not just for the gameplay but for the lore as well, is now pretty much unplayable for me unless I get a next gen console and pay to play online or spend a ton of money to make my PC better, even though its not even that bad. Like my PC is not bad by any means, and its quite expensive too. And this game is the only game I have ever experienced this problem with, so I know for sure its not a me problem. At least the game is playable and looks incredible if you have a very good and expensive PC, but for everyone else save your money on literally anything else, buying $45 worth of snacks and drinks at a gas station is worth more than this. Extreme let down Wildcard, I hope you learn you lesson for Ark II, although now I doubt it.

Amazing game, great to play with your friends and almost perfect for every Star Wars fan. I have been playing this game over different devices for over 8 years now and I can definitely see myself playing it for many more years. My only critique about this game is that I wish it was not abandoned for Battlefield 2042, since they could have added so many more characters, skins, planets, and much more. But other than that, it is one of the best, if not the best Star Wars game I have ever played.
