Summary :
Great Game and an huge update to Doom 2016!

Main Campaing + DLC

Story :
The story itself was expanded compared to the 2016 but it still feels optional. Obviously most players are playing doom for the Mechanics. But it is handled well. Cut scenes are kept short and the codex entries which you don't have to read achieve the good balance.

Mechanics :
That is the best part. Not a single fps game comes close to this mechanics. Both the shooting mechanics which require skill but is not competitive or difficult to master. The movement is even better in my opinion. The double jump and dash combined with the level design & maps in combination with the shooting gives you the feeling of being a fps machine. Summarised very fluid shooting & movement mechanics which work together which provide the best fun for a shooter I had for a long long time!

Level Design/Maps:
Another great part of the game are the levels & maps. Doom was always very beautiful to look at because the art design of the level and variety is literally out of the world. They create artistically such a beautiful and imaginary world that you don't want to leave or look away from the details. There are a lot of areas: Space,Earth, Earth but Hell ? xD , Hell and 2 new locations I never thought I would see in a Doom game (Ancient God DLC's : Dragons etc.).

Soundtrack + Sounddesign:
Mick Gordon is a genius. Not really sure what I can say. Music is always a matter of taste but even as a not fan of metal or electronic music everyone should understand that this soundtrack just goes hard when you play what just supports the gameplay & story. It gives you the feel of being the best fps gamer as mentioned in previous section.
Sounddesign is also great. The feedback when you shoot, jump or enemy sound is great and nothing really interrupts and stands out as not belonging to the world and overall sounds within the game.

DLC's:
I am close to finishing part 2 of both DLC's. It is basically the same as the base campaign but just crazier in every sense. The world/level design is more crazy in a positive way.
But it is difficult as ♥♥♥♥. I have repeated several areas where the game basically restarted with a armor that reduces the damage. Basically the game said I'm a noob. Reading other reviews and comments to the DLC's I am not alone with the difficulty in comparison to the main campaign!

Summary :
Great game for all type of gameplays. Sniper fans and close range gamers going to have fun.

Graphics:
The game itself looks gorgeous. I have decent hardware so I turned up the settings. No bugs that I noticed during my play.

The leveldesign is great and maps aare designed for all kind of playhstyles. Sniper player are going to have fun but if you dont want to snipe that is also great when you indoors.

The French Setting is nice but on later levels there are areas/maps similiar to Sniper Elite 2/SE4 which was nice as homage.

Mechanics:
Now the mechanics ! I have read a lot of review before writing this one criticizing the mechanics and that it doens't feel like a sniper game. Which I can understand but all depends HOW you want to approach the map/enemys.
I personally found it easier to get the feeling to snipe when I took the stealthy approach to the level/map. Meaning once I understood the general way where to go and where to took the angles from then I had a lot of fun. Roughly in the middle of the campaign there are few sections which are small indoor areas where it is more difficult to go for snipes.

In my opinion they find a good balance to keep the core of the sniping/stealth in the center of the franchise while adding some new mechanics(zip-line etc.) to the game. A franchise or developer in that sense obviously just doesn't want to to the same game all the time so I can say they really honour the legacy of the previous games while trying to appeal to new player
