I love the game and 100%'d it on 360, but I will always hate the absolute difficulty spike that happens when you have to face Ophelia for the first time when you meet the fire barons. Literally nothing in that game is ever that hard and it's almost not worth pulling your hair out doing it on brutal difficulty. I would give the game a neutral rating if I could only for that, but I have to give it a recommendation because the rest of the game leading up and following it is genuinely a gift

The story can be completed within a day, shorter if you don't do it on hard difficulty, but you really should. The online multiplayer is pretty much non-existent, but if you find it on a good sale, it's worth buying for the story; especially when the sequel is coming out later this year

The ability to go from first place to last is sickening, I love this game so much.

Heartbreaking that Sega can take things that should have already been included as paid DLC. You can see that I'm not the only one who thinks so

I'll start with that I've played all of the Yakuza and Judgment titles so far and this game holds up to the best of them, if not surpasses them. The combat, turn based I know, feels smoother and just subtle improvements help not feel tedious. The one downside that I really think should be addressed is the "extra" content they offer for a higher price. You can read in other reviews that there are parts of the game thats locked behind having to pay to get the chance to 100% it.

Edit: I finished the game and it was genuinely a good time. I'm not a huge fan of some features being locked behind a paywall. Whether it be the 2 jobs that were originally pre-order bonuses that turn into paid DLC or the packs that come in bundles that give you an incredible amount of items, negating a lot of the grind that it puts in there (e.g Dondoko Island and such). Also New Game+ is locked behind a paywall which is arguably one of the most comical things in a series that is known for the exaggerated scenes and situations

Id say it's still the same game and at its core, I'd be right; however, there are a few missing things like some songs that they assumably didn't pay the licensing for. It's better than the first 3 3d remasters, but there are some issues and your best friend will probably be a forum from time to time. The final mission in the main story, the frames have to be capped out at 60 or else it'll be virtually impossible to climb into the helicopter. There's a mission in the Lost and the Damned dlc that I had to look up why the game would crash while loading, and I apparently had to open the files and run the game with one driver for that mission opening, and then could switch back to using all of them during the same mission. Aside from the crashing, everything else is manageable, which is crazy to even have to say. The story is phenomenal and after this current replay, it still might be my favorite GTA.

Co-op doesn't work and thats super sad. I bought the game to run through the campaigns with a close friend and well, that probably wont happen. Everything else is pretty much what youd expect and thats cool, so if you just want a multiplayer and single player campaign without co-op, pretty solid buy
