i loved the story such as the main character Fran bow. Her innocent and polite being infuses her every action in a life full of darkness and shadowy creatures. She often sees the good stuff in things, smiling while having a nightmare in her head. She's a person coping with what she sees, knowing how scary this is.

The story is about multiple worlds layered; one "normal" and another filled with shadows, violence and creatures. Her pills which she gets in the asylum help her see these things, not seeming helpful at first.
Yet you have to travel to this world to see things she normally wouldnt see to solve puzzles and find items.

The artstyle is, in my opinion, well done. It resembles a children's book, characters moving like pop ups. This artstyle suits the best for a story about imagination in a 10- year- old's head.

Fran Bow tells a story of a little girl caught up in a horrible and terrible life, trying to find out what happened to her parents that one night, with an ending you can interpret anything into.
