Play this game.
It's free and it's a great time.

The Kingdom series is something I've WANTED to play, and I already enjoy listening to the music.
Don't be fooled by the pixel art, it's a gorgeous game.
I spent like three hours on it, so if you're worried about a long play-through to sell it to you, DON'T BE.

Replayablility-wise.. at the moment I don't know. Having completed the game, I want to get to night 100, so I suppose forcing yourself to survive the ever increasing hordes of Smellies (Greed) is your incentive for replay.

Again, play this game, it's fun. The music is beautiful.

Top Tips (spoilers for people who DON'T want help):
DON'T EXPAND FAST. Your impulse might be to cover as much territory as you can early game, but there are spots close to your town center that you want to preserve as long as possible because they will help you get that juicy coin.
Also, regarding your town center: You do want to upgrade to stone as fast as you can, but make sure that as you do that, you're upgrading your builders too. They will improve the durability of your defenses.
Income: You're going to need archers for the first twenty or so days. They're going to hunt rabbits and deer. But keep the rabbit patches around, if you destroy forest and build structures, you may lose them, so keep that in mind. As for deer, you are going to herd them, and that's pretty infuriating the first few days, but that coin is important. Once you have enough, you can rely on your farmers.
When it comes to fighting back: Once your town is fully upgraded and you have Knights, make sure you're focusing on three things: Upgraded archers, full health Knights (drop coin into them), and the time to attack. The time to attack is always after a Red Moon attack. An entire day follows without ANY attack, and this is your opportunity.
