If a game crashes every now and then, doesn't matter how good it is, its a trashbin.
In the current state of the game it is absolutely immersion breaking and unplayable.

"Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."
This was the error. I've tried every other solution that I can find and also what I knew. Some worked for a while, then started again. It might be hardware specific cuz there are several players who are not experiencing these crashes often or, maybe not.

I didn't know who to blame, the Nvidia driver, or the hardware, or the game. Later I found out by stress testing, that my PC is stable and as no other games are crashing then it must be this particular game. The crashes are very "location and scene" specific. If I am not mistaken, there's either a display glitch resides in the settings or, data/cache corruption which I no longer care to troubleshoot. If you're looking to buy this game, don't, even if its on sale. Visit the community reviews, and you'll see reviews about this whether it's been sorted out or, not.

I'll keep it updated if I can sort it out.

One of the most pathetic games I have ever played in my life cuz I don't play around with every game testing and checking. If you say give me some reasons, well, here they are,
But only fundamental reasons(personal),

1. Firstly, they claim its a sniper game. Okay. That's good. Now the point is there is no sniping needed, not necessarily. You can do each and everything in authentic without even engaging with your rifle. Now you can hit any enemy with your rifle all you want, but this does not satisfy sniper conditions. I thought a sniper guy comes in handy when cqc is lethal to some extent and a ranger is necessary. These guys just don't know that.

2. Secondly, movement. I can cope with Karl's movements(even though he sometimes stuck) but what I can't cope with are the npcs. They are weightless robots. The physics is so pathetic.
Imperfected patrol routes, sometimes they don't evolve or, change. Its like they are stuck.
Imperfected clamping. In the nav. mesh clamp points which is at the end point of the patrol route enemies stops for a moment. The stabilization process is a joke. Humans don't stop somewhere followed by a robot dance and jiggling(not generally).
Totally worthless enemy response while in a "just witnessed a kill conditions" and "luring".

3. Thirdly, Shooting Mechanics. The shooting mechanics is glitchy beyond measure(for a one shot one kill guy). Imperfected calibration and damage. They are totally bullet cam dependent. I hit one guy in the head from say over 300m, sometimes he dies sometimes he does not. He dies every damn time if the bullet cam triggers, perfect headshot. If the bullet cam does not trigger, the man never dies though I can clearly see his helmet is going off(AP rounds). So, either there is no difference between AP and normal rounds or, the bullet cam increases the damage to a high degree. Accuracy is a joke. Never saw this in sniper elite 3(which I played the most), ever.

4. I hope I don't have to tell about the bugs?

Sniping is very serious stuff. Congrats Rebellion, you guys convinced me that I should never, yeah NEVER pre-order anything from you. Not to worry though, you'll have plenty of "experienced players" lurking around just to get the f5 and Multiplayer. Sorry that I can't like a game which is rich in finding stuff here and there. Done plenty when I was a kid. I expected some serious sniping like SE3 and you guys just destroyed that.
At least you are not doomed like me. Adios.

1. The Specialty of FFF .45 ACP :
The only sidearm that comes with "Luring Rounds". You can use those for a quick evasion and most importantly you can do this thing while "running" with wraith ability. Which I think is a big and rare advantage in a sidearm and for a stealthy approach. The Double kill reliability of this weapon is off the charts, even the deadeye enemies won't feel a thing, and trust me, their instincts are very sharp but are no match for .45 "rpm". You can do "double headshots" too.

2. The specialty of Markus Tactical :
Markus Tactical is a short-range LSR that comes with the "highest stability". This means the "crosshair will fluctuate very little in a scoped mode in a not breath-holding state". You can take very stable and finest of shots up to 200m without holding a breath. This is the equivalent of Reese ESR 2020 from Contracts(the previous title) as it can be heavy with AP rounds. Luring and Tagging are other tac. options available. This is one of my favorite rifles, because of its awesome "reliability".

Now the fact is, which is known to everybody.
"You are the weapon".
So, it depends upon you if you will be able to access their highest of abilities. Not interested in the shotgun cuz can't use it without isolation, in favor of stealth, consistently.
Lastly, "some things can never be told". Use it for a better understanding. Visit the community guides for other kinds of pieces of information.

Need For Speed "was" like a big deal for me. Cuz when I was a kid, I used to play with my brother and my friends. This was for like several years until Carbon released back in 2006. Those were the days worth remembering, at least for me.
Recently I saw this was on-sale, so, even I wasn't interested I bought it. This is one of those biggest mistakes, I am realizing it now while writing this review. Let me tell you two worthwhile reasons.

Firstly, I am not in control of the car, not at least completely. An autopilot bias is defiling my driving sense, my instincts, everything that there is. I very much loved to drive until this point when I realized this interference.

And secondly, The UI design. I have never seen such an "awesome" design in my life, ever(restricted to the limited games I play). I did not play Payback and Heat. but if this keep on going, I am never gonna preorder anything from ghost games in the future.

Blackbox will always be the NFS developer for me. Feeling very unhappy that It ended with the last RUN.

Lastly, a review is very personal, determine yourself what you're gonna go with this. See many other reviews and align with your own perspectives.

Ghost Warrior ain't complete without these awesome Music Tracks. Its a trend, CI is keeping this awesomeness up from SGW3. I would highly recommend it as it a DLC and is not available in any other forms in the market. 20 soundtracks is obviously an overkill. I partially use 'em with my youtube videos to make a point before demonstrating a certain type of gameplay. Its kind of a Sniper Compatibility.
Among all the other DLCs, this is the only DLC I would like to buy every time.

Its late I know but I’ll do it anyway.
I hardly make any reviews but my friends requested me to do one so here is my opinion about the game. This is not just for fellow players rather the developers too, for the upcoming title. So that they can see the pros and cons and decide whether to care about it and make “changes” in the upcoming title if they see it fitting their context. Add anything you might like.

PROS

1. Introducing the long shot maps. Many of us requested to get "that long shot", so it was a great decision. It reminded me of the constraints that remote sniping offers.

2. Removed the trajectory line in DRS and stopped regenerating health in deadeye and leaving unique traces of this particular difficulty so that people can isolate it compared to the others.

3. Improvements in the save system. I never supported the presence of quick saves in Contracts 1, cuz the game was way to short and quick saves can also be used to exploit the game heavily. Sometimes people forgets that this is a stealth game, not a great assault game. I've always played Sniper Elite(the other major sniper platform) in Authentic, they never allow any saves, not even an "autosave" contrary to the Contracts 2 save system. I don’t retaliate maybe because I am used to such things.

On the other hand the number of casuals players always outweighs the serious ones. So, give them what they want, a quick save system. But don’t allow quick saves on the highest difficulty, just like sniper elite. They implemented this quite well.

4. Larger Classic Maps compared to Contracts 1. I think this is a pro as the player gets a little more of a freedom approaching the target. But not too much cuz its not an open world game.

5. Great music and “no music ambience”. I’ve enjoyed the music dlc, was very appropriate for the Middle Eastern theme. But I must say that Mikolai Stroinski rocks even more, what a wonderful composer. His music basically drawn me to this franchise in the first place.

6. Added features and evolving into something better. Many enjoyable features are added in SGWC2. The LASER in pistols were a completely useless feature in Contracts 1. Now it is a designator, which is cool. The drone has many features now including the poison dart, which is cool. But change is not always a wise choice. Take for example, the thermal vision. It was a BW theme like a phase contrast. The current color theme is not well suited for the eye. Its not soothing anymore. And night missions deserves a night vision, in addition to the thermal.

CONS

1. CI didn't gave enough time to the developers to fine tune the game. They invested a big load of money in cosmetics and crap dlcs. This culture is everywhere including the biggest AAA studios. They made the first game better, cause that was a question of impression. Started their dlc and microtransaction business with the second. This can be the “grave digger” for CI and the contracts franchise. If you want money why not make wonderful Guns and Mission dlcs. People are more into that.

2. Removed the bipod action. This is one of the most immersion braking moves I’ve ever seen in your games. You guys gradually degraded the bipod action from SGW3 to SGWC2. Don’t remove it, its a signature move for the sniper.

3. Uneven difficulties. Marksman and Sharpshooter is like feeding a grown man. Most of the enemies and barriers are removed, red dot helper. People plays this often and deduce the fact that the game is too easy compared to SGWC 1, which is not. Remember that those fools, who calls themselves as “curators” plays the game on easy difficulty, they will not play it on deadeye. This may lead to a bad impression, which was the case. Give these curator babies a little less room to breathe.

4. Bullet Camera. Maybe you’re thinking why I am including the wonderful gore crisp Bullet Camera as a con. I can assure you its not for the looks, rather how it impacts the quality of the gameplay.
This is particularly true for long shot contracts where you can shoot anything while “dancing”. It just requires you to aim and pull the trigger, like the bullet has infinite speed(approximately true for short ranges, but not even remotely for long shots). There’s no punishment for bullet delay. What an unrealistic feature for long shots, it just looks cool.

5. Weird enemy movement and the absence of primary body resistance in an alert mode. A person requires some time to achieve a velocity when running(that is Newton’s Law), but in this game they run with the final velocity right from the beginning making the use of a turret inevitable. I hate that.

6. No HUD. Even though this feature was added later, I think this was never meant for the gameplay, rather taking clean screenshots. Why? Well, for many reasons. First one is that the gadget wheel becomes invisible, so you don’t know what you’re holding. Second one is special bullet panel becomes invisible, so you don’t know what you’re equipped with. No option to customize the HUD. Like if I wanted to remove the tags only. This mode lacks the proper audio/visual cues to support no HUD.

7. You swap a gun, you lose it. This is one hell of a problem happens most of the time. The object you’ve swapped leaks through the terrain sometimes. And you can’t recover it unless you reload a checkpoint. I mean given the challenges like the “No checkpoint reload”, it is very problematic.

8. Primary rifles are not balanced. Some has maximum damage(Barret), some has maximum rpm(LSSR), some has maximum recoil compensation(Tai Hu). I don’t think these are well thought of but a result of quickly publishing an unfurnished game. I blame CI for these not the developers.
The sniper rifles in Contracts 1 was very well balanced, their stats I mean.

9. Field of view / Size of the rifle. I don’t want to eat the sniper scope. This was good in Contracts 1. I know that the real size of the gun and scopes might not be that small and maybe it is the right way. But it feels irritating and weird.

10. Can't swap between silencer and Muzzle brake. In the game one can't utilize the benefits of the silencer as well as the muzzle brake/flash hider when required in one single session. This heavily limits the freedom of using a full power rifle. I am not a big fan of exfil and change loadout mid session kinda way.

11. Bugs. What can I say, you guys know it already. I don’t want to write the “Bug Dictionary’ no more.

I can’t think of anything else right at the moment. I’ll add something if I has something else in my mind. Given that the underdog studio is not a AAA studio, I would say they have done a great job overall compared to other so called "AAAs". I always try to see the potential of a platform, not the current state of it. And I think Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts can become the biggest and the bestest sniper franchise ever made. Just listen to your player base, rectify and evolve into the next phase. This is why I am supporting you till now, make the best game, make it worthy of attention.

And hire great tactical players with large no of followers to showcase your game, not some “counter strike” player “running and gunning” down with no tactical sense at all. It will always ruin and undermine the tactical side of your game.

We’re waiting for Contracts 3. Personally, I want Seeker and Surikova to return.

---- The force will be with you, always.
