Early Access Review
NOTE: I did receive a copy of this game, both beta-testing and a full copy since I do help out with the devs and im connected to one, however they told me to not be biased in my review. Bless you, Leon. Love you and Thanks.

The game is fun, dont get me wrong, Its fun for a good couple short bursts if you wanted something akin to COD Zombies and for the price? Its an absolute steal. Theres a good chunk of content and the developers of this game are super active on the discord and keeping the updates flowing in. The game shows great promise thats for sure but theres obviously leaks in the cracks.

Some of the maps are significantly more difficult than others and you will more than likely just get stuck in a corner. You can get out of it using grenades or claymores but its a tight window before you do get mauled. Hard mode is pretty much pointless in its current state right now, only bumping up damage and health and not giving you any extra rewards (This could change if Leon does decide to add achievements) and theres definitely still bugs. The animations are not great and pretty sub-par but thats personal preference on if you care about that sorta thing.

The zombies are pretty mindless and its just the same running around and shooting them so It can be pretty boring pretty quickly without much of a shake-up in the gameplay department and the bosses are just straight up bullet sponges without anything special apart from 1-2 attributes (One runs super fast, one has lower health etc etc).

The weapon cards are definitely a cool feature and one that does help out the gameplay and the replay value of the game drastically, and the new customization, while just changing up your gloves and knives, do add something and is a positive change.

I could go on buuut ech. TLDR: Its a fun zombie game for the price and I would recommend it if you do want a COD zombies like experience but you dont want to get robbed blind by triple A prices but only in short bursts since it doesnt have too massive of a skill ceiling and its mostly the same thing, different map.

Essentially a free tower of guns, makes my fans wish it was playing a triple A game but whatever, this game can be fun sometimes for like a 10 minute run through. And also its free. Wallrunning is just busted with speed, and theres balancing issues with commons being way better than some "Epic Standard Issue SMG" but hey. Im not gonna review it like its a paid product. Its just fun.

In short: Distance is a experience. Its a experience you really cant find anywhere else. The feeling of a great soundtrack as you cling to walls and boost at lightning speeds. Its a rush. Even if you dont like driving games, Distance is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great game that most AAA games cant replicate in today's landscapes.

Well, that wasnt really in short now was it? But, Distance is a psychological driving simulator. The campaign is nothing short of atmospheric and amazing, with the devs putting clear passion into every single level to make you feel something in your brain, only to get you back into the thrilling driving only moments later. I havent even played much of this game yet i know this game will be special to me, and that i will be playing it for a bit longer than only a hour as i need to get used to the game mechanics before any of my words mean something.

But from me, i highly recommend this game to anything that well, likes this kinda of genre. Its futuristic cars with wings driving around and doing things out a trackmania game, only loads more better.

Distance is one hell of a sequel to Nitronic rush and i wouldnt have it any other way. Great ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jobs devs.
