I was really hyped to play it but I couldn't. The game is absolutely dead. Everything is really buggy and there are literally only 2 servers with nobody in them, not to mention that I had to use Task Manager to stop it running and it wouldn't let me uninstall it.

This game fixed my life, my marriage, my son's autism, my PTSD, Nova Prospekt's messed-up rendering and lighting, my wife, my stage 4 testicular cancer and actually a ton of textures.


Get it if you own HL2; it's a straight upgrade.

Simply incredible. The story and the way cutscenes are handled is incredible, the amount of detail that goes into everything shows you Valve really do care about their product more than anything else and the physics engine holds up surprisingly well. The gunplay is lacking and a bit repetitive but you'll never get sick of grabbing an explosive barrel and flinging it at a group of Combine soldiers and watching their ragdolls be launched into the stratosphere; it's like crack in videogame form and just as addictive. I'd recommend using MMod as it makes the gameplay feel less dated with improved reload animations, settings for projectile bullets and better lighting and water effects as well as higher quality weapon models and more exaggerated animations.
