K, I know this is a drop in an ocean, but I'll just do it anyway...
I have a good enough impression now to just say this is one of the best newer games to come out. It's got a lot of retro stuff in it, for sure, but it incorporates elements of modern games. It's pretty hard if you're going for completion, but a breezy play through when you wanna just turn your brain off. The art and music are obviously a treat.
I think I saw someone say somewhere that it's like mario and sonic had a 90s cartoon baby. That works, I guess.
Normally, I wait til I 100% something to review, unless I know I won't be able to, and I think this one might be a little challenging for the likes of me. But I'm still going to put many many more hours into it because it's very very fun.
I'm normally a gamer who focuses on aesthetic experience and the way a game makes me feel rather than only game play, and this one makes me feel a very... specific way... that I like. And I recommend you try it too. Especially if you grew up playing platformers, duh.
