Control scheme is very disorienting by today’s standard. If u don’t have the patience to learn it, dont try it

- Sekiro-like combat but not soul-like difficult

- It reminds me of the Ubisoft's Immortals Fenyx Rising. If that kind of humour is your thing, then you will feel right at home.

- Steam Deck verified it is, but i do recommend playing it on a pc with a wider/bigger screen for better POV to minimise motion sickness and truly experience the game beauty (ofc if you can)

- It bugs me that there's neither save point nor manual save option.

- Perfect controller arrangement for the gameplay

- It's more like a demo or proof of concept as the game is really small in scope and enemy variety

- the game knows itself so it doesnt overstay its welcome. It knows where to start and where to end (3-4 hours of gameplay depending on your skills)

Solid 7/10

This point-and-click game shines with its expressive language, using words and phrases that vividly convey the emotions and atmosphere of the story. The voice acting is brilliant, adding depth and authenticity to each character. From start to finish, I was fully invested in the narrative, eager to see where it would lead. The clever puzzles were a delight, offering just the right amount of challenge to keep me engaged throughout.

PS: I used a guide every time i got stuck with the puzzles haha

- Light puzzles which are nice for those who don't like challenging puzzles
- Immersive experience: feel like I'm actually wearing a space suit
- Short and sweet
- Well-designed area-based puzzles
- Third and first-person perspective: I'm a 2D guy and this is one of the few first-person narratives I end up enjoying

Arietta of Spirits is fantastic! It can be a treat between every long game you play.

- short n sweet
- open area to explore
- linear story-based progression
- no puzzles
- emotional and mature story
- it respects your time

###My complaint is the last achievement that requires the completion of a second playthrough in a bloody difficult mode. Idk what the dev was thinking. Everything about the game is great but they choose to ruin it with this.

I want to get into the Legend of Heroes Universe. Yes my journey just started in 2023!

The game is text heavy. Sometimes I feel like it’s a VN. However, the pacing is well-balanced and gives me true enjoyment the entire time. On another note, I dont mind reading a lot, tho. So it’s already my type of game.

I always lost track of time when i played it. Yes, it was that immersive and engaging! The music is also brilliant and it’s still stuck in my head. The gameplay and game loop are really well designed, giving me things to do and always keeping things fresh. So i was never getting bored. The only problem is it’s an old game and i experienced some bugs. My advice is you should save your progress more frequently.

Overall, it’s my 9.5/10 game.

### For Steam Deck users: i played it from start to finish on Steam Deck. Everything worked fine except some occasional movies that did not load at all. It's not a game breaker but you would miss out a few cutscenes.

The game is great!
+ the gameplay is king
+ the exploration is fun and immersive
+ Steam Deck verified

But:
- the world building is probably its weakest point.
- the writing is just a filter. There's nothing interesting to read.
- there're no evo trees. i cant preview what my monsters would become.
- there are no clear directions. sometimes i wandered off without knowing what to do next and what monsters to catch in order to obtain a character skill that enables me to reach a previously unreachable area.
- bugs: i didn't select a main or side quest. But it kept pointing out where i had to visit. And guess what? there was nth there!
- load time: it's a pixel art game. im surprised it has a long load time on my Steam Deck.
- only three genders selection option available

i know I've complained a lot. But, the game is still fun af, nonetheless.

Greedfall is a great game though it's rough around the edges.

Good things:
- Decisions/choices matter (good roleplaying)
- Can save everywhere
- Great immersion
- Side quests are part of the main story and world-building. So it is worth your time to invest in those side quests.
- Fun combats and battles
- Maps are easy to navigate.
- The story and world-building are probably the greatest strengths of this game.

Improvements needed:
- The game still has bugs here and there. But nth is game-breaking.
- Sometimes it feels like a walking sim rather than an exciting exploration. The world is beautiful but there is nth interesting to explore. And exploration itself is not incentivised well most of the time.
- Side quests ask players to walk from Point A to Point B back and forth several times, which does not respect players' time. Walking/running is not fun and it's like a chore. Maybe make the character run faster or give him/her a horse? or make more teleport spots?
- Really appreciate it if we have mini-maps.
- Lack of monster/enemy variety

Conclusion:
I still recommend it though. Greedfall is a great gem that needs polishing. Most of my complaints are about the quality of life improvements. I hope Greedfall 2 will also have an amazing story to tell like this one, and the dev will take my inputs into consideration.

Warm Snow really makes me feel invincible.
- Each upgrade becomes meaningful quickly.
- Combat and dash are super satisfying.
- A good variety of weapons and skills: Every run feels fresh.
- A breath of fresh air with Chinese inspired art style and story

My only complaint is the text sometimes does not show properly on Steam Deck. Plus, it is also too small and hard to read.

PS: It's the first roguelike game that I could ever beat. It keeps me completely hooked from start to finish.
