I only played the game this long just to write this review.

Is Overwatch 2 A mechanically good game

Yes.

Is it I recommend?

No.

Not any more I don't

Overwatch took the world by storm in 2016. Or as I like to call it the worst years for Humanity, OW was one of the few good things that happened that year, it was for a time my favorite FPS... But things change and OW went from a great game to a game ruined by corporate greed and all kinds of terrible micro-transactions.

First off. Removing playing as whoever you want "YEAH BUT BALANCE" SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!! I don't CARE about "Balance". Say I want to play as Soldier 76 but someone else has him, Guess what? YOU CAN'T PLAY AS HIM. EVEN IN CASUAL MODE. They shouldn't Limit who you should play as. Same goes for how to "Unlock" New Characters. At first I thought it was behind a Paywall but as it turns out it's just challenges..... That doesn't make it any better. In Smash, It worked fine since Smash wasn't a Live Service game, ohhh you WANT To use our new hero? TOO BAD, You have to play some challenge instead... WHOOPSIES!!!!

Then there's the cancellation of the PvE mode....... Blizzard said that the main reason they even made OW2 was for this mode... and how did they make up to it... CANCELLATION! They just Lied to their fans after years of hype for this mode, only to throw it in the garbage like the hacks they are. This isn't the only time they lied to their fans, they showed off a cool scene for Warcraft 3 Reforged only for it NOT TO APPEAR IN THE GAME. Blizzard really does not like to keep their promises do they? And the Battlepass.... IT'S ABSURDLY EXPENSIVE, YOU KNOW IT'S BAD WHEN PEOPLE ACTUALLY MISS THE LOOTBOXES

Then there's the story and its...... OK? It's just that OK. The characters are fine but they just aren't memorble from a personality standpoint aside from the women for......... Reasons. Now look at the TF2 Cast, they are some of the most memorable characters in gaming no, Pop Culture! Compare the Scout to Tracer for instance, Tracer is a cheerful british chick, ok now look at Scout, He's a COCKY LITTLE ARROGANT CASANOVA WANNABE AND I LOVE IT. The Shorts also count, OW's shorts have great animation but they kinda take them selves a little too seriously. I know Overwatch is about heroes fighting for a cause, but maybe lighten it up a little. TF2's trailers are still quoted to this day, I still quote the game daily, I even try to start comment chains for Meet The Spy.

So in Conclusion, I don't recommend Overwatch 2. Blizzard ruined the game with greed and are just overall unpleasent people. I'd just stick to TF2 or the following games

Honestly, It's not as bad as what everyone says it was, but that doesn't mean it's good either. If Square Enix had just delayed this game for about a year, and maybe MAYBE NOT Promoted or hell even cancelled Life is Strange True Colors. Balan would probably have been a masterpiece
