Iron Fist is easily one of the worst characters in Marvel Rivals, and it’s not just because of his underwhelming abilities or lackluster strategy. His overconfidence and reckless fighting style have often led to disaster in the game, but more importantly, it mirrors a toxic attitude that bled into my real life. His constant underestimation of opponents and refusal to adapt to better strategies made him frustrating to play, leading to constant losses and growing resentment. This, in turn, fueled arguments in my personal life, especially with my spouse, who felt neglected as I poured more energy into a game that was just stressing me out. It wasn’t just a game anymore; it became a symbol of my failure to balance priorities. Eventually, the mounting frustration over my losses and inability to step away contributed to a divorce, and I was even dropped from my esports team. All of this, I can trace back to the toxic influence of Iron Fist in Marvel Rivals—his stubbornness and inability to grow mirroring my own struggle to move past frustration and find balance.
