This game is absolutely phenomenal. At no point is it boring or repetitive, and is amazingly shocking and surprising. The soundtrack, visuals, and gameplay are consistently incredible, and i loved every second of the dark, disturbing mystery that is the story.
I took the game to 100%, with all achievements unlocked, and it absolutely slapped throughout. I played through with a stealthy, progressive mindset, and then again with a guns-blazing brutal combo-heavy playstyle. Both times, it was absolutely incredible. I can't recommend this game enough, for anyone who enjoys a fun, well rounded, dark experience.
The only things i take issue with are trivial. There is one glitch where enemies get locked outside the level forcing you to restart, but it is very rare and isn't a huge deal. Some players may feel iffy about the secret ending, as i was, but i promise the game's sequel works it into a really compelling and fascinating narrative.
Overall, though, an instant classic.
