Best all around CoD entry imo. Masterpiece campaign, stellar multiplayer and the birthplace of Cod Zombies, a genre in of itself. With an active modding community for said zombies mode, the game never gets old

A very confusing mix of contradicting game design and questionable balancing at best that overall just makes the ugly parts of the game's design just, worse. The few good things get drowned out by the bad and it seems that players of all sorts of hours in the game agree that the dev team just has the wrong idea.

Legit peak FromSoft. It sucks so bad they never got close to this with their soulslike games again

Best chapter hands down. Vecna is the most fun and interactive killer in all of DBD with many little things to realize and learn about him, along with mostly interesting perks. The survivor not only has given DBD it's 3rd emote ever, but also has overall exciting perks that allow for teamwork, trickery and valuable intel. Forgotten Ruins may be big but it's one of the most unique maps ever with a mechanic in it that no other map has ever come close to having, it's just objectively the biggest success BHVR's had in terms of game design.

While Sable is a great survivor, with interesting lore and some pretty exciting perks, Unknown has to be the biggest disappointment in this entire game's history as far as I've played. Everything about the killer hinted to something so much more, for him to be a grenade launcher. Absolute waste of the best visual design DBD has ever had and never will be able to replicate.

I think after playing Killing Floor 1 now this game's just kinda tainted for me. It's lost a lot of the artstyle and identity the first game and it's mod debut had while opting for inferior gameplay loops. In KF1 the individual zed was a lot more of a threat compared to KF2 where it feels impossible to die until you're either on HoE or the game has decided to spawn zeds in every exit but one, leading to every match feeling like you're funneled into camping or kiting on the preset path spawns have decided for you.

You feel very out of control of every situation and it's really a matter of picking the most powerful options and playing as safe as possible, there isn't as much risk taking as KF1 since doing so will immediately kill you due to hordes spawning ahead and around you. I'd rather just play KF1 nowadays, even after trying to force myself to like this still. It's a good intro to Killing Floor but, let's hope KF3 takes after the first game more than this.

Peak Killing Floor. A masterclass soundtrack and ambience, with weapons that are so hard to find as satisfying in any other game. Even solo, the game feels doable but viciously challenging, along with everything feeling correctly viable given the right strategy. It isn't stupid spammy like it's sequel and is an amazing basis for what the 3rd entry should aim to be like, I LOVE KF1.

I really don't like how this game set the precedent for what RE would become later. Instead of them trying to dial RE4 back down to a survival game they just went full action again which means that we're probably going to see an exact repeat of history where RE goes too full into action and requires another soft reboot like RE7. The combat can be somehow more awkward than the remakes before that actively suggest that you don't fight all the time while this game forces you into combat every other second while having strange inconsistencies that just sour the taste.
I like Separate Ways and sometimes I enjoy Mercenaries, but it's like how I feel with the original RE4. I don't like it, and I don't like what it started with RE. Could just end up being the last RE game I buy if RE5 repeats it's history too.

A happy place of mine, love 76, been here since 2018 and while yeah it can get stale, that's just something that happens with every game when you play it so frequently
