Sailing across the entire world in a longboat to the main theme of Game of Thrones after 70 hours of grinding, and knowing I'm still only *just* in the swap gives me a rush of dopamine as I've not ever felt before. Especially when I can hunt the very same serpents that impeded my progress to the elder from the meadows continent I started on. The ability to be completely active and trying to be efficient for 83 hours worth of time while playing the game, advancing, fighting, mining, chopping, harvesting, brewing, smelting, fishing, hunting, and exploring, and still have so much of the game left to go through- remind me again why this game only costs $20? There's just no way this game isn't a complete steal for that price; any other games company would've released it how it is and added more biomes as "DLC", and everything would've been like 200 dollars altogether, and believe me, if I knew I'd enjoy it this much, I probably would've still bought it. But $20???? Buy this game right now. It's either the best thing you ever played or damn well near it, especially in this price range.

I'm 14 hours into the game, with an amazing experience both to look back on and forward to. Bloodborne with Puppets doesn't quite do this game justice, and neither does Sekiro with Pinocchio. This game is truly something special, and I can't believe I just put it down a few days after it came out. I'm glad I came back, and I will bee 100%'ing this game. Definitely worth the money.

Amazing game. If you played Void Bastards (if you haven't, DO SO NOW, I'm pretty sure its on xbox and on GOG too), it's just like that game but with horror and multiplayer. You can also somewhat compare it to Sea of Thieves, but without PvP or the boring bits, and with better PvE. Definitely gonna fail this next semester of Uni to play this game lol

Skyrim is just elden ring but almost a decade earlier, better, bigger, more ♥♥♥♥ to do, reasonable npcs, a non-incest main story, and overall better pvp. ... so not elden ring

This game is iffy in some spots, especially in the pvp areas, but it is very good. It's an amazing game to go through, and one of the best looking game's I've ever played, and I've played games with amazing landscapes like Skyrim and Monster Hunter, and games with amazing detail like Horizon Zero and RDR2. Genuinely an amazing experience, I keep finding new things every time i go back to it. I absolutely love this game's pve. However! Dark Souls 3 had better pvp in any part of its lifetime than in this game, in my opinion. It's ok, but it went in a sort of uncomfy direction. 1.06 fixed most of this though, so yes, i reccomend.

I'm a long time player whose played on multiple accounts, and the game is amazing, its perfect. Amazing lore, amazing gameplay, I love everything about the game itself. But.. don't buy this game. It's not fun anymore. The Dark Souls 3 Hayday of summon signs everywhere and constant good invasions is over. It's all 4v1s against the singled out you invader of 4 tryharding nerds who for whatever reason are pulling off a str/dex/int/fth build at sl 125 or youre a lone host against 2 glitch and exploit using invaders. YYou either have to be an expert, or just enjoy playing offline. I would have recommended this game 3 years ago, but this.. no. This game is not worth the multiplayer.

EDIT - A 2024 UPDATE TO MY OPINION

Excellent game the origin of my Soulslike addiction, and for good reason. Solid combat and exploration, ungodly replay value, and PvP like no other. I absolutely love this game, and will be playing it until the day the servers are shut down.
